Damn. Head to the boards, and then smacking straight on the ice. That's scary as hell.
Truly a frightening moment. He was down for a while, but fortunately was able to get off the ice under his own power. Ryan Reaves has a history of toying the line, but one would think a suspension will be forthcoming.

The rich get richer. Once WPG resigned Byfuglien, you knew Ladd's days were numbered there. He has to be beyond ecstatic about the move back to CHI.

SportsBook events up for every series & Game 1 (minus Wings-Lightning; got home too late). I'll add that that Series price before Game 2.

STL steals Game 1 from CHI in OT. Brian Elliott was outstanding in net.

Couldn't replicate that even if he tried.

STL takes Game 4 in Chicago for a 3-1 series lead. You can never count CHI out, but elimination is staring them in the face. STL just may get over their playoff hump...

Red Wings fan throws an octopus (real, not stuffed) onto the ice just a few minutes ago at Tampa. WTF!? Who thinks to bring an octopus to a sports event to throw on the field of play? Is there some kind of hockey thing I'm missing?

Must not be a Hockey guy. This has been a Wings thing for almost 20 years now, but it also predates the era now where it signified the eight wins (Octopus has eight arms) needed to win the Stanley Cup in the pre-expansion period.

Pretty much only watch hockey if I know the Jackets are on a national channel or during the Cup, so yeah, not much of a hockey person.
In the late 90's it was an epidemic. You'd see several thrown onto the ice in a single game, but the league has began to crack down on this practice & all others involving objects being tossed onto the ice.
