What is this NBA all of you are discussing????

Didn't the league fold on June 4, 2000? Oh, that's right. That is when I officially stopped watching the pile of crap they try to pan off as a sport. I haven't watched a game since.

A real shame too, since professional basketball was the first sport I watched as a kid.

No that wasn't the one I was referring to, but I agree the crease helps a bunch.

What should earn a technical is when the player establishes a pattern, like Reggie Miller, of sticking out an appendage while shooting that when touched causes them to break into convulsions to make sure the ref sees it and calls a foul. That is the type of thing that definitely needs to be called.

Overdoing a charge isn't sportsmanlike either, but is a little better. However if a player barely bumps a guy and the guy flies backwards, I think that should be a foul on the diver for cheapening the play and lying to the ref about how hard he got hit. It's not as bad when someone draws an actual charge (like Wallace on Manu which wasn't called and led to Ben's technical) and the person overdoes it.

Again, none of this was why the game went one way or the other. There just wasn't anyone that could keep their shots in the hoop besides Billups.
