NBA fining for short lengths

do you think players come into the league as polished as they used to?

Absolutely Not. I would never make that contention. But I will say that the players are more talented now than they used to - which leaves a lot of room for growth. Most of the high school players pan out after a growth period, and some even are able to make an impact right away. I'm very happy about the new age limit, but Amare and Lebron could have come in and had an impact in any era. They are just that freakish. And if that seems questionable, think about this.... Tim Duncan spent four years in college and is arguably the best power forward of all time. But, Amare, in his third year, looked almost as good as him in the playoffs last year.
