247 overreacted with how far they dropped him (see Darrion Henry), but I wouldn’t call dropping him entirely wrong.

He had a pretty rough week at The Opening going up against top talent. The tools are there, but he’s definitely closer to a low 4/high 3 type project with potential than a sure-fire top 100 DL type at this time.

He’ll have a chance to prove himself again at the UA Game later this year.

If there’s one assistant on this staff that has my worthless unconditional trust with essentially any prospect, it’s LJ. Guy is just developing prospects left and right from all types of ratings.

Too much physical and raw ability for LJ not to take a shot at him. All Cowan needs to is buy in and he’ll he put into a position to be the best version of himself.
