2018 NC LB Payton Wilson (UNC Decommit; NC State Verbal)

This would be a kid I could easily see Growing into DE and replacing the Micah Parson schollie. I would take in a heartbeat and not look back

I agree with this part but I say keep him on the outside. SAM LB all the way. Let him blitz from outside, cover TE's and crash down the LOS. Why not innovate the position if he can handle it? We have a crap load of DE's, lets have a ridiculous LB corps who can play the run like monsters and dominate in the pass game also!

Big games, NCs and conference championships are won in the trenches with guys getting to the QB. He's also already 6'4' 225, and not getting any smaller. He could easily get to campus at close to 240, and be at 250lbs with an offseason with Coach Mick. I'd personally love his skill set on the DL, but being able to stand up like how they can play Hubbard in the same manner.
We have guys like Jones, Browning and Harrison currently on the roster that fit that LB mold, not to mention Gant and Pope coming(and even possibly Oats) in for 2018. With LB, you don't rotate in like you do along the DL, and that's why not as many guys are needed there in the corps. OSU is rotating something like 5 guys rotating at DE and 4 at DT, we need the bodies there.

We won't have a crap load of DE's next year though
