Miami coach Jim Larranaga and ex-Louisville coach Rick Pitino have both received grand jury subpoenas as the FBI continues its ongoing investigation into corruption in college basketball.

According to Nathan Fenno of the Los Angeles Times, Larranaga received a subpoena for texts, emails and other items. Pitino's attorney confirmed to the Louisville Courier-Journal on Wednesday that his client was gathering relevant information for the U.S. Attorney.

"There's nothing there," one of Larranaga's attorneys told Fenno of Miami's situation. "We're trying to get them to admit they made a mistake and move on."

College basketball scandal updates: Auburn's Chuck Person indicted

A federal grand jury in New York handed down the first two indictments relating to the college basketball corruption scandal on Tuesday to Chuck Person, the suspended associate head coach at Auburn, and Rashan Michel, the owner of a clothing company and a former NCAA referee.

Both individuals were charged with six counts related to the investigation unveiled in September. The charges carry a maximum sentence of 80 years in federal prison if they are found guilty.

I read that Pearl is actually refusing to cooperate with the university's investigation. Gee, I wonder why.

Auburn's Bruce Pearl tells his players not to worry about report he could be fired

Pearl downplays speculation he could lose his job if doesn't cooperate in AU's investigation.

Following the FBI's findings becoming public knowledge, Auburn officials also hired a law firm to conduct an internal investigation into the men's basketball program, which Pearl has reportedly been unwilling to participate in. And while Pearl wasn't implicated in the case, his refusal to cooperate, according to ESPN, could lead to his potential ouster. A decision regarding his future at the helm of the program could reportedly be determined within the next week or two.

In the meantime, Auburn continues to hold out Danjel Purifoy and its best player, Austin Wiley, in an attempt to "avoid any potential eligibility issues." Pearl told ESPN that Auburn is involved in an ongoing investigation to certify the eligibility of the players, but at this time both remain out indefinitely.

I'll go out on a limb here and say that either refusing to cooperate with and/or lying to the investigators are grounds for dismissal.
