NCAA Coaches: Bribing Players

So some parents take large sums of money for their kid to attend a certain school where they will earn a ton more money for that school and eventually earn tons of money themselves in the pros. Other parents will pay large sums of money for their talentless child to go to a school and do nothing? That’s a bigger sham than the athlete. How the fuck does that happen?

Also...USC doesn’t have a lacrosse team? Dafuq?

I'm shocked. Just shocked that a bunch of finance people are included in this group. I mean, you think they would have learned their lesson after so many of them ended up in jail as a result of the subprime mortgage crisis a year ago. (note sarcasm font through the whole thing).
Uncle Jesse did the same thing to gain acceptance into the elitist preschool. This feels like it is his fault.

Sounds like an astounding amount of stupid money going towards getting their kids into some "elite" schools through country club sports.

Hilarious. Imagine wanting your kid at USC so much that you'll drop half a million.

I can't.

That said, and while basically the same as a bribe, wouldn't a check written to USC's endowment have done the trick? Isn't that how everyone else does it?
