I'll buy it if:

  • They fix kick and punt returns to actually be something interesting
  • fix kicking recruiting so more than 5% of schools can kick passed a 30 yard FG consistently.
  • They continue to develop online dynasty web-page functionality
  • recruiting RBs and WRs shows some versatility in the players. I'm tired of nearly every RB recruit having 84 speed and 80 agility, 80 accel. Also have it mean something when a player is listed as power. Sorry a 5'8" 167 pound RB with 60 trucking and break tackle is not a power back.
  • the spread/read option running plays be viable
  • play action to work. get rid of the forced sequence of when a play action goes away from the throwing hand (right handed QB play action to the left will result in a sack 9/10 times)

The part I'm tired with on recruiting is this roulette style recruiting. It's completely unrealistic and the computer does it so they can decide where players go. I'm not going to discuss proximity to home for my school in Kentucky when the recruit is from Oregon. It pisses me off to watch my worst few accolades pop up and then I have to make a pitch for something that's a c- because I don't have any switches left.

It makes it nearly impossible to recruit to smaller schools before you prestige up. In older versions every once in a while you could snag a higher rated recruit that was coming from a local area.

They also need to balance the amount of recruits for each position, once you play a dynasty for at least 4 or 5 years the rosters get so fucked up, the dynasty is almost unplayable. Teams have 10 QB's on their rosters, 12 RB's, 12 WR's. Half the teams don't have a real kicker, so they can't kick field goals.

Right now I'm doing a little test to show how unrealistic the dynasties have become. I'm going to sim a bunch of years with affecting anything myself. I've done 4 years so far and Bama has 3 NC's and Florida has the other.

I have had success with the read option..... In spurts.. The read you have to make is quick, but when you make the right read, I have been able to break some big plays. ONLY against the CPU though, I haven't gotten it to work in user v user games.
Also, with the Colorado and Nebraska changing conferences and the addition to the B10 Championship game, I will buy it.
