Probably not the last one... but last one for 2-3 years at least is my guess. They might wait for the whole obannon thing to wrap up.

Since they settled their part of the lawsuit, I wonder what kind of wording they have in future games? Be interesting what the wording is on that part.

Watch out for EA Sports to take down EA Locker for NCAA 14 capabilities after a year or so. 2K Sports has done that with past iterations of NBA 2K.

So then we just go old school... someone uploads a file and then let's everyone download it and we all done. So all it does is make it more inconvenient to do it, but it will get done.

Also you will see quicker turnaround on rosters for the next season. Cuz once signing day/nfl draft deadline hits you can start building the next season's roster. Maybe finalize it after spring practice with reports who will be starting.

The only real pain will be changing attributes and everyone agreeing to them for players.

If they make a game it will be generic players, generic teams, generic everything. IMO, if they do that, not worth $60+

You see where EA is paying $40 million??? Yep... generic players for sure. They will get teams to sign on or else no reason for a game cuz no one will play a game without their favorite college teams. So I can see them doing very generic faces, random numbers and I wouldn't be surprised if they don't let people edit rosters. Would that sell? doubtful. Yeah... the more I think of it... no more video game. Until there is a way to pay a small enough fee to all the players to make it a seller.

Problem is teams were starting to pull out after the major conferences did.

I honestly don't see a way this franchise comes back.

Was the franchise making money for EA and the schools? If so, it'll be back once all this is settled. It make take a few years, but I'll be surprised if it never comes back. As for shared files, 2K still has the sharing system open for College Hoops 2K8. You can d/l updated rosters for that game every year. The problem is, as amazing as the CH 2K series was, 2K8 can't hold a candle to NBA 2K. Try playing CH 2K8 after you've played NBA 2K13. Yeesh.

Re: Video game producer EA Sports and Collegiate Licensing Company will pay around $40 million to settle lawsuits brought by former players whose likenesses were used without compensation, a source familiar with the negotiations told ESPN's Tom Farrey on Friday.
The number of players to benefit is between 200,000 and 300,000, said Steve Berman, managing partner of the law firm Hagens Berman, who served as co-lead counsel in the class-action lawsuit brought by the players.
http://espn.go.com/college-football...-sports-clc-settle-lawsuits-40-million-source

You know the lawyers will take (close to) 50% which will leave $20M for the players. Do the math....

$20,000,000 ÷ 250,000 (ave. of players) = $80 per player

If anyone is still playing this piece of shit, I'm having freezing issues. Playing Wisconsin in dynasty and it froze right after I kicked off. I restarted it, got to the fucking 4th quarter and again it froze. The first time I had to actually turn off the system, the second time I was able to quit the game using the ps3 button. Anybody else getting this?

I have started to get freezing at the end of games on Xbox. GTA V came to the rescue just in time. Hell, I was playing WWE 13 to pass the time.

My top defensive recruit is redshirting. What concerns me is that Transfer logo looming behind his head. I didn't promise PT, but perhaps that indicates that he's planning to bolt?

Do I need to get him on the field? I can't afford to lose him as I have minimal depth at the position.

So... I have taken the Idaho Vandals from zeroes to heroes.... The crazy comeback AI has come close to making me rage quit a couple of times this season. USC literally ran a center sneak for a touchdown today. Out of shotgun.... Yep, teams lined up, qb five yards back, the center simply stands the fuck up with the ball. He doesnt even pretend to try to snap it, then he truck sticks the DT and rumbles 6 yards through everyone for a TD.

Anyone else seen this?

Why in blue blazes does a LB in spy back pedal allowing the QB to gain at least five yards? EA!!!!!!

I am about to join an OD for the first time this iteration. This should be interesting since my offense is a tOSU-Nike U type of offense. The OD jas a rule about constantly using the Read Option. That's okay. Time for Dave right, Dave middle, Dave left, punt.

Check what you have your defensive setting for QB passing (exact name escapes me, but the one that adjusts whether your defenders play the QB scramble or pass). If you do adjust that to play scramble though, anytime the QB leaves the pocket, your defenders 30 yards downfield may break on the QB leaving wide open receivers.
