The infractions occurred when head coach Pete Fredenburg loaned his 2006 Subaru to student-athletes. The incident occurred once prior and once during the 2016 season, and again during the 2017 season. The school also self-reported that Fredenburg loaned the car to another student for less than an hour before the car broke down and was towed. The loan violated the NCAA's rules on impermissable benefits and head coach responsibility.

Clearly an impermissible benefit in pursuit of getting a competitive advantage.

Recruit: "So tell me, why should I play for you and not Mount Union or Wisconsin-Whitewater?"

Coach: "I'll let you borrow my 10 year old Subaru for an hour when I'm in my office breaking down film in the evenings."

Recruit: "Well shit, where do I sign?"

I mean, it is a 2006 Subaru. I still have some eligibility.
