NCAA punishes USC - Reggie Bush, OJ Mayo, Dwayne Jarrett, Joe McKnight investigation

The real downside for USC may be the investigation that will apparently occur as a result of this.

tOSU fans should certainly be aware that once the digging starts, any type of problem might surface.

It will be interesting to see what the facts are regarding this situation; as well as if any other problems surface. And of course, observing how the various media members treat USC during and after the investigation.

While this may look really bad on the surface, it may not amount to anything. Its too easy. There is no real attempt to cover this up. It seems to me that if they were hiding something really fishy, they would have covered, cleaned and laundered everything involved to within an inch of its life to protect Reggie and his family from this.

Just thinking that if I were going to do something like that as a booster, the paper trail to lead it back to an agent would take decades to trace. This almost seems arrogant and "in your face" if this was shady.

Mebby the family was merely "house sitting", and vacated quickly to travel to NYC to take in nfl draft?
That's a nice try at a positive spin.

Getting to NYC for the draft does not need moving trucks clearing out everything except some minor trinkets.

That's like clearing out the home in Dublin, OH and hopping on a jet to St Paul, MN because you are almost 50% certain junior is getting that huge job with 3M two weeks later. It doesn't make sense.

Yeah, and if every NCAA violation (or murder, or whatever) was done according to plan, nobody would ever get caught. Some people are either too dumb to know better or assume somebody else has crossed all the t's.

Oddly, it seems it was yahoo sports who stirred this up. When ESPN comes up from giving Petey his daily reach around, they may be forced to run this story. Or spend some resources and favors helping you guys out of a jam.

Sorry to rain on the "we get treated unfairly and you get away with anything" party, but look at espn.com's front page.

isn't it amusing that no one finds any dirt when your school rcd is 2-12
but win a NC and the proctologists come out in droves...
my jealousy prevents me from feeling sorry for them however...
