RULES & SETTINGS

1. The league will begin after NCAA09 is released and a roster file is released. Target start date will be July 20th.

2. 6 Minute Quarters on All-American Difficulty with any sliders that are found to give a better gaming experience.

3. We will complete 2 "Game Weeks" per 1 "Real Week" at a minimum. Deadlines will be Sunday at 10pm and then Wednesday/Thursday.

4. NO CHEESING - Don't do anything you wouldn't want done against you. Coaches are expected to play a realistic game of football. This includes 4th down plays, be realistic when you go for it on 4th down. We'll run on the honor system, it is up to the players to report cheesing to me via PM. The first time will be a warning and if that player chooses not to stop, penalties can range from throwing out game results to being removed from the league (by community vote)

4a. POSITIONS - There shall be no HB or WR with 90+ speed that can be listed in your FB or TE depth chart. For purpose of position changes during the offseason a HB/WR must weigh at least 220lbs to be switched to FB (along with a speed less than 90). For a switch to TE, the HB/WR must be at least 230lbs or 6'4 tall. That means if a HB/WR is not 230lbs, he must at least be 6'4, and if he isn't 6'4 he has to weigh more than 230lbs. (along with a speed of less than 90) Any exceptions must be approved by me, the commisioner.

5. If someone chooses to drop out of the league (or gets kicked out) we will try to replace said player if we have a waiting list. Any new player can either choose the team that was dropped or they can pick any team that is rated at 79 or lower. We will use the teams current rating for when the add is made (ie if in the game Notre Dame becomes horrible and has a 72 team rating, a new player can pick them up)

6. All teams will be required to play 2 human v human games as their non-conference games. If you have human v human conference games these do not count towards the 2 game requirement. This will be done on a rotational basis so all players would eventually player every player. If we have an odd number of teams so it becomes difficult to have a required 2 non-conference games, a player will be permitted to play only 1 non-conference game. BUT, the only players eligible to play only 1 non-conference game will be from the teams that play a human v human game on their conference schedule.

7. Future schedules - This is up for discussion, but this is my initial thought on scheduling. In the 2 non-conference games you will play against the computer the player may submit a list of teams they would want to play. Of those two, one cannot be ranked in the Top 50. The other team can be any team not ranked in the Top 10.

8. Independent Team - We will use a mix of known future schedules of that team and the default teams the computer assigns them. The player can switch only 2 games and cannot switch out of games that are their natural annual games.

SCHEDULES

These are the FUTURE SCHDULES. When I need to update them, I will update them.

As we enter the 2011 season we have agreed to increase the amount of human games per season. The 2011 & 2012 are now finalized (ie I balanced them as much as possible). * In the 2013 season I am just listing the school (if any) that you have yet to play at all during the length of our dynasty as you WILL play them that season as there is only a handful. I dont think 1-AA teams are in the game this year, I think there is just the generic 1-AA east west south teams that EA has always had in the game

but its pretty much a free win either way

I dont think 1-AA teams are in the game this year, I think there is just the generic 1-AA east west south teams that EA has always had in the game

but its pretty much a free win either way

Yeah, when the game comes out I will put in the generic 1-AA E/W/S/N teams that they have in place. But for now I am going by what is on each team's actual schedule til I get NCAA09

I've read a rumor about a bug with the game. Apparently, the game's has a tendency to freeze from rosters somebody got from EA Locker. Realize this is just a rumor and could just as well have been started by somebody trying to sell his rosters, but I was wondering if anybody else heard about this as well.

nm

looks like they figured a way to get around the bug, we should be able to get rosters by the time we start our dynasty

I believe Piney said he would send invites out like on the 20th or 21st

The bug was for roster edits and it seems like DT Linder has a workaround and should have a good set of rosters a few days after release. So we should still be good to start on schedule.

Hopefully there will be no surprises when the game actually comes out. I am almost tempted to do a small test online dynasty a day or two after the game comes out to see if that has any issues just to make sure we will have smooth sailing.

So if anyone wants to help me test an online dynasty. Let me know.

We got our 10th guy, Basebuck. It also looks like we got #11 in _F_ once he gets back to me to let me know what team he wants.

Gives me confidence that we will get 12 by July 20th. I am sure once the game comes out some more people will come out of the woodwork.

Just so everybody knows, _F_ is a Michigan fan....so give him a bunch of shit.

I don't know exactly how the non-conference scheduling is going to work, if it is random or we set it up, but I would like to put a challenge out to South Florida (which was a really good pick by the way)

It will end up depending on how many we have and how spread out we are. The initial thought is 2 required non-conference games against humans per season and it will be on a rotational basis. The first season though I am highlighting on the schedule what human games would already be scheduled (ie Washington plays BYU already) and I am thinking of keeping those games for the 1st year as a starting point.

But I was planning on making a schedule of who plays who each year to make it even (randomly). No one has really stated whether they wanted to schedule their own human v human non-conference games. But I am more than willing to make sure you play BN early. But there might be a line of people who want to beat him down

And oh yeah... welcome to the league. I will need your PS Name so I can add you to my friend list so I can send out the invites next Sunday.
