No pun intended with the title:biggrin:

    BC24 ND23

Shows how important a Nugent is in football. ND missed a 50+ yd FG as time expired

That kick was really tough, he really had no time to get ready or get his rythm. I thought it was a pretty good effort for the amount of time he had. Good win for Boston College though.

What makes me laugh is that he thinks he's leaving for the NFL after this year.

Doesn't he know about the secret plot to kidnap him, brainwash him, and enroll him in the university as an incoming freshman next Fall?

I get the feeling an unknown walk-on named Mark Nugget is going to be a very successful kicker with our program.

ND's kicker played infinitely better than did BC's. No kicker would have made that kick at the end--the clock was stopped at :01 (one second) after Notre Dame passed for a first down, and they rushed the kicking team on to even get the snap off before the clock re-started. The refs would have flagged them for illegal procedure if the kick had been good.

BC could have used half of a Nugent on the other hand. Then the game would have been out of reach. BC absolutely dominated them.

Speaking of which...we southern boys need to get Hubbard to get our ski masks for us. Dibs on the blue one.

I just know I'm not getting stuck with the one that has little cartoony reindeer and the puff ball on top like last time.

Florida also lost to Mississippi State today.
Now Florida State's having a problem with Wake Forest.
Hopefully Purdue pulls it off against scUM.

Purdue has proven - this week to scUM, last week to Wisky, last two years to us - they don't know how to win close games.

Makes me appreciate JT even more.

I can't think of any team that could possibly have that much time with one second left to actually be able to get the kick off :roll2:

They have Teenecheat, SCum west, and Pittiful as their last three games. The best they will do is 6-5 this year.

The QB & offense were still running off the field as the special teams players were running on. They certainly weren't set at the line, and it was a pretty comical attempt at a field goal.

They would have been flagged for illegal procedure or too many men because a bunch of players were still running off the field. It would have been a *physical impossibility* for him to get it off and for it to stay on the scoreboard. That's all I meant.
