Those are so sick, I'm not even playing any kind of ball anymore and I still want a pair.

Two-Minute Drill: Scott Frost Updates – 10.30.18 Teleconference

Scott-Frost-Huskersdotcom.jpg

Nebraska head coach Scott Frost spoke on Tuesday afternoon’s Big Ten coaches teleconference to provide some updates on his Cornhuskers football team and also to answer some questions about Saturday’s matchup with the Ohio State Buckeyes. Nebraska is 2-6 and 1-4 in the Big Ten, but have won two games in a row, scoring 49 points per game in those two wins. The Buckeyes, meanwhile, are coming off of a bye week following their first loss of the season. Here are the highlights of what Frost had to say.

+ Asked how running back Devine Ozigbo is different from last year, Frost said he wasn’t here last year, so he can’t speak to much on that. Frost gives credit to the strength staff for getting him stronger and leaner. He has also persevered and fought through a running back competition in camp.

+ Asked if they have to approach this game differently because of Ohio State’s loss, Frost said they don’t approach any games differently. He knows this is probably the worst week to play Ohio State, but the only thing they can focus on is their preparation.

+ They have to cover Ohio State’s receivers and get a pass rush on Dwayne Haskins to slow the passing game down. Haskins is as talented a passer as anybody in the country. He expects the Buckeyes to be a little more committed to the run this week and they have to be prepared for that.

+ Defensively, Ohio State has talent at every position. Frost knows Nebraska’s scheme and game plan will be good, but they have to block and execute. That’s what the game will come down to.

While we've scored 62 and 63 points in our two homes games against Corn since they joined the conference, and also scored 56 points against them last year at their place, something tells me we're not quite going to get that many points on Saturday...

I think we see a similar result coming out of that awful loss as we did coming out of the awful loss last year.

Suspect Corn will be a bit over confident. Not sure about 60+ points but I wouldnt be shocked if we cover the spread at all.

Next game after big loss, bye week, last two years’ scores, Neb is a 2-6 team despite the logo....I thought it was low, but it’s 18 now-that’s a rather large move by Tuesday for any power 5 game
Nebraska is much better than a few weeks ago though too.

They have the offense to hurt us to be honest though. Mobile QB, strong RB, great set of skill at WR, and a tricky offense.

I see this like the 2012 game... 63-35 type of score.

Nebraska is going to be a big time player soon though if you ask me. The QB is a freshman so imagine what he's going to be in 4 years, looks like they're going to have a solid recruiting class (Robinson this thursday?), and they've dropped a ton of close games this season.

Of all the teams in the West this is my favorite... they're like ohio state of the mid west.

I'm in a wait and see mode to be honest. Tired of all the coach speak and just want to see results on both sides of the ball. On Defense we have tried to be like TSUN without the same results. What's working for them hasn't worked for us. On Offense we have to be more physical and get the running game going. Hopefully fixes were made on both sides of the ball. Time will tell.
GO BUCKS!!
