New Basketball Practice Facility

I am not for one second concerned about the quantity of weight lifting equipment there. There are plenty of places players can go to lift weights if they want something different. I guess my concern is I haven't seen what looks $19 million. Maybe their intent wasn't to make it look extraordinary from the outside but still for a project that was supposed to cost $13 million and ended up jumping up to $19 million after they got it started, I really don't understand what caused the ultimate cost to be that far off of the initial projection.

The weight room is my support for what you are saying. If you are spending $19m and you have equipment in a weight room shoved in a corner near your mere three treadmills it makes me curious where else they went cheap on. Like I said the courts are nice but I EXPECT Ohio State to have things like a nice trophy case, quality locker rooms, etc. After continually building onto the WHAC and other facilities, OSU financial heads should have known how much something like what they got costs.

Gotta agree.

It looks very middle of the road to me. In a time where each and every other new facility is setting new heights. IU's Cook Hall ($16.5m) was built 3 years ago and looks as good, maybe slightly better, imo.

All I know is, at this point, I don't trust "The Head" of the athletic department with anything. Not even running a lemonade stand on Olentangy River Road.

Another thing, you know how OSU went through the whole athletic logo change last year (Black Lettering). Someone needs to get on the same page (look at the logo on the courts, the equipment, the apparel, etc.).

Maybe OSU even thinks it looks bad (with the black lettering).
