Fox is only called underrated because certain members of the general public make it that way. He is obviously highly respected and appreciated by the coaching staff, and obviously, his teammates feel the same way.

I agree though, no surprises. This is a young team, so while there may be several good leaders among the underclassmen, there aren't too many Seniors that will be on the field this year.

Great choices, even if they were obvious. We really need Fox and Frasier to step up their game and their leadership to help this D early in the year. Frasier especially started hot last year and didn't make as much of an impact later. I'm really worried about our DL being able to apply consistant pressure, but if anyone does it I think Frasier is our man. Fox had a few bad games last year, most notably PSU and NCST.

Fraser was hurt somewhat after the Washington game, I believe. I think he will go out w/ a bang. As far as the offense goes, if there are no guys besides Ross deserving of the captaincy, let them use that to motivate themselves for next year............

I know I am one of the people that bitches about Fox's coverage ability as a corner, but I have no doubt he should be a captain. He is a good leader, a good player, not a good corner. That doesn't mean he should be captain. I feel very comfortable with the picks. The only one that confuses me is L.Ross. It seems to me that Mo Hall or B. Joe would have been better picks. B. Joe I know has the DUIs but I think could comand more respect. MoHall could be a cheerleader more than anything, but I just don't see Ross as a leader. I would rather see Simms, Mangold, or Hamby get the honor despite their youth.

Its easy for us as fans to second guess the pick of Ross as a captain for the offense, but I can't say, honestly, that I have ever seen Lydell bitch, moan or otherwise represent himself or the program in a bad light. This is his year, I hope that he performs up to his own expectations and gives all of his doubters a pleasant surprise. Obviously his team has respect for what he brings to Ohio State.

Great picks as captains.

Cheers to the seniors, go out with a bang!

Go Bucks,
Nik T

I complain as much or more than anybody about fox and ross, but obviously their teammates and coaches think they are go to men this year, i wanna see this team great and to do that you need an running game and lock down corners to shut down the running game.
I wish fox and ross the best of luck and think these guys represent osu well, i hope that they continue to improve like the rest of the team
and hope that people realize when i am negative towards a player it has nothing to do with him as a person, but as their past performance and i am critical of players i see potential in i do not rag on matt trombitas or rob harley guys who bust there ass but just dont have it

4 perfect captains

These 4 young men are the epitomy of college athletics and are perfect choices as captains of our team.

All 4 are nothing but class, all about team, always positive, very articulate, and all about The Ohio State University. I'll take these 4 to represent my school and team over any other 4 in the country.

For those who claim that Fox and Ross "aren't good" or don't maximize their potential, open your eyes. These two are workout warriors. One was projected as a future AA safety out of the high school All-American game and has been good enough to be one of the 2 best corners at OSU for 4 years. The other has battled injuries non-stop for 2 years, never whining and never missing a game, to my knowledge. His shoulder injury was as repetitive and painful as MoC's, but his toughness and love of the game and team helped bring us a national championship (see games and plays that MoC missed that year).

Look at our captains last year and this....talk about 8 great Buckeyes!

Go Bucks!
