New Sports Illustrated poll on top rivalries in college football (merged)

Looks like Texas-Oklahoma is the only one within 1500 votes of us. Pretty wild considering that would've been the last on my list, based on how long the rivalry has even been the most important to both schools. I don't see FSU-Florida gaining any momentum now that Miami is in the ACC. Kind of surprised that they didn't have that on the list instead of Florida though.

I don't even know how they can consider the Texas-Oklahoma that great of a rivalry when it is no longer a matter of who will win, but how badly Texas will lose. Then again, with Coop, we weren't so hot against the scUMmers. But still, there should be no one NEAR OSU/scUM in that poll. :)

I still don't get the OU-Texas hype, how can it be such a great rivalry when A.) Both have bigger rivals(Texas with Texas A&M and OU with NU) and B.) Oklahoma always beats Texas.

It's Michigan-Ohio State, without question.
First of all most Texas fans will tell you that OU is our biggest rival and I would assume vice versa. OU has beaten Texas the last 5 times. Prior to that Texas won 3 in a row including 8 out of 11 from 89-99. Very streaky series that Texas still holds the all-time edge in 55-39-5.
