NFC Championship Game: Eagles(-3.5) at Cardinals

Hey Reag, I was just at Bullshooters in Peoria and I thought they were gonna burn that place down! Unreal! They had a 12 foot screen and absolutely awesome drink and food specials. 150 or so people and pure craziness! If you need somewhere to go for the Super Bowl with more Cards fans, that is the place.

Cards in the Super Bowl.......ridiculous. :tongue2:

Thanks for the info, but that place is about an hour drive from my house. I hate watching games in bars because if my team is losing, and there is only 1 fan of the other team cheering, I want to rip his head off and it's just not an enjoyable environment for me. I usually stick to a friends house where I know there are only people there cheering for the same team as me so I can avoid the irritation.

Glad you had a good time and Go Cards!!!

The funny thing for me about this whole thing is that the Cardinals are basically the Cowboys without any of the publicity. They have the golden boy QB (golden boy in a different way than Romo, of course, but kind of the Iowa Barnstormers-to-the-Super Bowl kind of Golden Boy we heard about every 30 seconds in 1999), the WR who doesn't want to play on the team, asked for a trade, bitched out his OC, and skipped the postgame celebration of getting to the fucking Super Bowl for the first time ever, the aging RB who wants to carry the load, hasn't, was replaced by the young upstart, asked for a trade and swore he would never play for the Cardinals again, only to have the team lean on him at playoff time...

Good theater, only instead of an overpaid, overhyped trainwreck like the Cowboys, the 8-8 Cardinals made the Super Bowl. Amazing.

agreed.

I can't think of a quieter 29,000 yards throwing and 182 TD's.

Along those lines, 38-year-old Brett Favre looked like a greedy, overhyped, washed-up has-been in many eyes at the end of 2008. How's Warner looking at 37?

Reality check--the Steelers are coming.

The Cards have had 3 "reality checks" in the past 3 weeks

Falcons vs. Cards (Falcons favored)
Cards vs. Panthers (Panthers favored)
Eagles vs. Cards (Eagles favored)

The Cards have won 4 games in a row. They haven't won 4 in a row since 1999. This isn't the same Cardinals team everyone has seen in the past.

The Cards defense should be able to stop the Steelers offense. Their offense isn't exceptional. Sure they will score, but I don't think a lot.

The Steelers defense is ridiculously good, but so was the Eagles. If the Cards can score 24 points, I think the Cards will win this game.

You guys can keep on doubting the Cardinals and you can keep eating crow every week you are wrong. It just keeps making these victories sweeter when it's an Us vs. The World type scenario and the Cards keep coming out on top.

Sure I want AZ to win the Super Bowl, but even if they lose, I really don't even care at this point. Yesterday felt like a Super Bowl victory.
