Head Coach
What is with all these punks who can't just act like they have been there before and hand the ball to the ref and celebrate with their team.

It also seems to be the people that all of sudden become really good in the pros after coming from some small college, or just not being very good at some point. I think all the publicity goes to their head.

We all know about TO, he came from a little small college then made it big in San Fran and it all went to his head. Look where he is at now.

Then you have Chad Johnson who couldnt even get into to college, he was in and out of trouble and then got a very lucky break with Oregon St.(he tried to piss this away) and now that he has become a superstar it is going to his head.

Then you have the newest guy on the block Steve Smith. This year has certainly been a big break out year for him. He gets about 100 yds. recieving in everyone of his games. This past weekend he pull that endzone celebration where he pulled the towel out, acted like he was changing a baby's diaper and then held the football on his shoulder.

How stupid are these celebrations getting. I have no problem with the occasional dance step, dunk the ball, dive into the endzone, but this shit with props need to be put to a stop.

Why can't they just show a little class and hand the ball to the ref.

The best part is how Holmes cant even dive into the endzone to possibly avoid a tackle yet the pros, whom college athletes idol get away with much worst shit.

Let them celebrate god dammit, all of them college and pro.

As long as the celebrations are respectful, I don't usually mind - some are even funny. But lately, they are getting a little stale to say the least. Some of the dumbest from this season:

1. Riverdance, the Putt, and of course, the CPR (Chad Johnson)

2. Burp the Baby (Steve Smith)

3. Native American Meditation (Roy Williams)

4. Anything Terrell Owens did before being suspended.

I do like Shaun Alexander's though. They're not over the top, and they are certainly respectful.

i find most of them hilarious, my favorites are:

1) TO's cheerleader
2) Hines Ward - Mocking- Eagle & Icky Shuffle
3) Riverdance by CJ
4) Randy Moss fake moon
5) Joe Horn Cell Phone call

riverdance was easily the most homosexual dance this year. not the dumbest, but by far the gayest.

I like them more when they involve an entire team. then it's more about having fun than drawing attention to yourself.

I have to agree that most of the celebrations are fine, as long as they are not directed towards the other teams players then it should be fine.

As far as the comments about CJ having a big head. I would disagree, I think that he has fun in what he does, he is cocky, but he is very far from being over the top. Anyone who has paid any attention to him this year would see that he is just having fun.

The attitude Chad Johnson has is perfect. He's a team player, but he still has fun playing the game. He knows how to get the fans attention, but everything he does and says off the field is all about the team. And look at the way he plays? He runs routes thru the middle of the field where he is likely to get hit pretty hard, time and time again. More than any reciever of his calaber. And he never is afraid to jump for a ball that may be a little high, knowing he's going to get laid out. He's goes all out. The other players in the league respect him. I think he's found a perfect balance. This is why right now he is the best reciever in the NFL.

I don't mind most of them but soem are completely stupid. Most of the stuff TO did was hilarious and some of the stuff by Chad Johnson is pretty good. I say let them celebrate unless your Joe Horn that little stunt he did with the cell phone was retarded.

I realize it was a joke, I just think he's done much better ones. I enjoy a lot of CJ's antics, tho I would love to watch Sean Taylor or Ed Reed light him up over the middle as well.

Here's a proposition....

The NFL should only fine those celebrations that are deemed by the public to have been stupid or otherwise completely lame. (or any celebrations that rises to the extreme level of taunting, although that happens very, very little).

Have a poll on NFL.com of the weekends celebrations. If you're celebration gets more "disapprove" votes that "approve", you get fined $5000. I believe that will up the quality of the celebrations.
