NFL Discussion (Official Thread)

I'm no expert on the ins and outs of free agency. But he would have been a free agent had he not been tagged, right? I assumed they tagged him to give them more time to get a deal done.
He would have been a FA. I figured once AR came back, he'd be happy to stay in GB.....but apparently money talks. Can't really blame him.

Jesus Christ, that's gross. Just another reason to tell the NFL to "fuck off."

Pretty unreal. I heard about this happening and assumed it was being blown out of proportion. Figured someone went over to him while everyone else walked around like they were Matt Stafford avoiding a lady falling off a stage.

Nope. Everyone meandered around as this dude writhes in pain on the ground. He's ignored. Ball is more important.

If Matt Ryan has trade value, why doesn’t Maker Bayfield?

I think Baker will have to wait for the other QBs who are better to find their spots. So he's waiting for Jimmy G, Jameis Winston.. maybe someone else. PFT ran a story saying there is chatter in NFL circles about Baker needing "humbled." So it seems like the league is teaching Baker a lesson. :roll1:

Crawl line went by indicating the Ain’ts may be signing Jameis. To be honest, I’d rather have Mayfield than Garoppolo. Perhaps there is hope yet.

Could another top receiver change teams? Word on Twitter is that the Chiefs have given Tyreek Hill's agent permission to talk with other teams about a trade.

On cue, he’s headed to the Fins
Such is life for teams that tie up an obscene amount of cap space in their QB. You can't afford to pay premium money for the guys around him...
