Oneshot

Goes For Three
I was watching some awesome Youtube mic'd up videos...

Stafford's when he beat the Brownies, Favre during a non-descript beatdown of the Lions, Jeff Saturday vs. the Texans.

I love these things, and I would pay money for them. Anyone know where to grab a DVD of it or something?

They played that Stafford video on Detroit sports radio on Monday and everyone was calling in saying it gave them chills. It's pretty sweet. I'm not sure if you can buy those DVDs anywhere or not though.

I think the closest thing you can probably get to a DVD with a majority of mic'd up on-field footage would be the "In Their Own Words" series from NFL Films, and they're $50 a pop brand new since the series is OOP.

NFL Films - Special Order Catalog

I'd look for torrents or check auction sites. A quick Google search located the Ray Lewis and Jerry Rice vids.

The "mic'd up" was started, IIRC, by ABC/MNF over 15 years ago. My favorite one is probably the Jason Taylor footage from the "Monday Night Miracle" (Jets v Dolphins 2000). Large segments of that game with Taylors mic'd up audio should be on YouTube.

That game is almost comical to watch now, knowing that one of the greatest games in NFL history featured two teams coached by Wannstache (w/ OC Chan Gailey) and Al Groh (w/ OC Dan Henning). Would it surprise anyone to know these two head coaches were responsible for a game featuring one of the greatest comebacks of all time? Which means, of course, one of the two would therefore be responsible for one of the greatest collapses of all time. Bet you can't figure out which one! :p

Taylor's audio is golden. Jets fans insult him pre-game, he and his teammates start getting cocky and confident when they get up big, and then the wheels completely come off by the end.
