I wish they played for a different organization. :(

They both deserve better.
They have a lot more depth this year than years past. Signing guys like Hyman, Foegele and Ryan have given them 3 legit scoring lines. If the goaltending holds up and the D continues to improve, they could make some real noise this year. Yeah, it's more likely they bow out in the first round or semi's, but who knows. Draisaitl/McDavid's careers are starting to feel like Jordan's early years. Wildly talented guys, but didn't have much to work with around them. But now you have Puljujarvi starting to realize his potential and they have added some other good pieces around them, so maybe they finally get over the hump. Gonna have to be in the next couple of years because some of those contracts are gonna sting as they age...woof.

Yup. Add to that the fact that Draisaitl is on a bargain contract and will be due for a considerable raise in 2025. And the year after that... McDavid's contract will be up.

They pissed away their ELCs with guys like Milan Lucic. So dumb.

I keep waiting for them to slow down, but McDavid/Draisaitl are going to be a story to follow this year. Draisaitl with 2 goals and an assist, McDavid with an assist tonight. Through 12 games:

Draisaitl: 12G, 14A, 26 Pts (pace: 178 pts)
McDavid: 9G, 15A, 24 Pts (pace: 164 pts)

Nobody has put up those kind of numbers since Lemieux put up 161, 26 years ago. If Draisaitl keeps up his pace, it would be the highest in the NHL since Lemieux (199) again, in 1988-89. Actually McDavid at 164 would surpass everyone since that season, as well. Crazy.

So he's really good on offense...that must mean he bitches for calls and hides behind refs/enforcers after cheap shotting people, right? No? Only one "superstar" does that?

Every team does the same shit. Every team has players who whine. I'm a Pens fan and I'm ready to die on this hill. Crosby hasn't been the "whiner" everyone thinks he is for about a decade. Also, why is "superstar" in quotations?
