Night Practice Gallery & Observations

Excellent, excellent, excellent post and photos!! I encourage everyone to rep this man. In looking at those pics I was very impressed at just the physiques of the players. Even the linemen looked to be in great shape for being so big.

The practice was yet another example of why stars matter very little, and that OSU is tremendous at snagging talent others don't see.

Robiskie looked outstanding. Russell is a big-time playmaker, he will be the next great safety who works his way up by being a strong nickel back (I think he beats out Coleman, but both are studs in the making). "Omar" Jenkins is becoming well-known for his talent. Washington has a lot of potential as well, and apparently is right in the mix to start opposite Omar.

All four were 3 stars with limited offer lists. Meanwhile "cant-miss" prospect 5-star O'Neal is still struggling to adjust to this level. I'm not writing him off at all, just pointing out what we all know... this staff does a tremendous job on defense even if scout/rivals claims otherwise.

They wore them on photo day is all I've seen and the players absolutely loved them.

Got a feeling after week 3, the jerseys will be an afterthought and we'll adapt to them.

Oh they did? I was there. Wow I REALLY must be color blind!

Not bad J! Congrats on the 30D. You like it? How could you not? I'm assuming you were shooting Manual Mode wide open at 2.8. If not you should. In Manual mode you need to watch your shutter speeds and compensate for darker and lighter areas in the field. I know they probably didn't have "game worthy" lights so this probably was more of a problem than if they had standard game lights. In any case, just remember to pay attention to the shutter speed and adjust accordingly.

Were you using a 70-200 2.8?
