OSU has been thoroughly researching this kid lately. Glad to see them move on him...Coach Johnson really likes this kid. Check out that frame and wingspan.

Visiting tOSU this Friday with his father followed by ND on the weekend.

He recently listed a Top 10 of Georgia Tech, Harvard, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin, but the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions are the two schools standing out right now.

“And that's off me not even visiting Ohio State,” Oweh said. “I think getting to see Ohio State and all it has to offer will really help me see where I'm at. Otherwise, I'm still trying to weight all my options.”

I like honesty:
“Just whatever schools proves they'll be patient with me during my learning curve,” Oweh said.

Nothing against the other guys still on the board at DE, but if I were in the coaches' shoes, this would most likely be my top guy remaining at DE. I know Parsons is a freak too and much more experienced, and Smith has his own unique upside (though I think he'll end up at 3-tech), but there just aren't too many people on this planet who are that big, strong, fast and smart with such high character. 4.63 40, 44.5 powerball, 35" vertical, Ivy League grades and he's not playing any recruiting games. We've seen how immaturity can slow development for even the most talented players (cue Urban's 2015 class rants), so I'd feel great about getting this kid who appears to have everything but experience. If he showed signs of being a quick study with a good attitude toward LJ's coaching today, I think we'll go all in.

And it helps that he has RIDICULOUSLY long arms at DE!
But I agree with everything you said about this kid, great character and will just need some seasoning. But honestly, he's still behind Parsons and Smith. But a take if there's room

Wouldn't have him ahead of Parsons but the ridiculous upside is there to make him a "TAKE" in my eyes. I think the staff feels that way as well but wants to confirm in person. Plus, Blair Academy is no joke when it comes to academics and athletics, so you've gotta love the academic background as well. We have the numbers to take a good number of DE's this year and given how many players we've taken that are more developed, I'm willing to see us take a project with upside like Oweh.
