Notes to Team USA for future WBC play

1) If you are going to go to the trouble of entering a team in a competition in which they are keeping score how about you go into it with the mindest of winning the goddamn thing?

2) If an elite US born player isn't hurt and doesn't want to play, fine. Tell the commie mother fucker to pack his shit and try to make millions of dollars playing a game in some other country. He's free to choose which.

3) If you are going to play and try to win, get off your sorry dead asses a little sooner in the off season and be ready to fucking play at a high level by March. I'm sick of hearing how out of shape/not there yet US players are when the other teams are playing like their hair is on fire. Get in shape, get the team together sooner, play some exhibition games and try to WIN!

Quick list of lazy prima donna commie bastards who think they are too goood to play for their country:

Brian Fuentes
CC Sabathia
Cole Hammels
Tim Lincecum
Ryan Howard
Prince Fielder
Josh Hamilton

I'm sure there are more I'm not thinking of.

This is an embarrassment. You ever seen the Canadiens not give a shit about an international hockey event? Hell no you haven't because its their game, they invented it, its part of their culture they have NATIONAL PRIDE.

Men ten times better than anyone you see on the field tonight have given their lives for this country and these sorry ass, spoiled, rich bitch, pussy baseball players can't even get the best team together, put in some early work and be ready to play well to represent their country. This makes me fucking sick to my stomach.

You'll probably not like this, but I think the entire concept of the WBC played in March is a waste of time. The American players aren't ever going to show up for it. the Japanese and the Caribbean players play year-round but the American players do not and won't.

Play that sumbitch in July.

So 20 some odd MLB players can't get ready a couple of months early once every 3 years.

I hear what you are saying but its a cop out. They are lazy pieces of shit.

And on the outside I agree. But I don't forsee it changing especially if it stays in the March time frame.

Honestly I don't think the WBC concept has really been embraced by the MLBPA. Given the outright stupidity that Selig shows in public I can only imagine what he's like out of the public eye....

Well I don't have much use for members of the MLBPA who can standby and watch our country embarrassed when they had the ability to prevent it.

They are some of the luckiest human beings on the face of the earth and they can't even be bothered to do a little something like this to show some gratitude? Fuck them.

See the only thing with this international competitions is that for the Americans if we lose SO WHAT. The players (NBA, NHL, and MLB) will go make thier millions and wont miss any sleep over losing. However, look at these players from other countries... If most of these players don't win then its a huge deal because they really don't have that much.

I mean yeah other teams have MLB players too, but here in the U.S. while we're not the best with the economy right now we're still the greatest nation by far. We undoubtedly lead the world in Living conditions, laws, available income, and free speech. Because of that it makes our American teams not at desperate. Where as EVERYONE wants to beat (probably slaughter) the United States in something, ANYTHING.

I don't really think it's the players (look at Japan when they won), but rather the attitude. If we lose we still have home, but if other teams lose they go home to nothing..

Also I think it's unfair to call out these MLB players. They play from February-October! They get 3-4 months off at the most, and play basically every day for the other 8-9 months Straight.

Sure, I would've liked to see a stacked US team, but the team we had was capable of winning it all. It just didn't happen.

A Rod. Last I checked he was born in the US, went to high school in the US, gets paid in the US, and lives in the US. But most importantly he was born here.

That and what you said is why I don't care as much as I normally would for this event.

BTW if they pull this out in the bottom of the 9th it doesn't change my anger at the top tier gusy who didn't play or the fact that we need to get ready for these things sooner so our guys can play at a higher level.

Brian Fuentes has been nursing an injury (hip/back) since the first week of camp. He was originally on the USA roster. (Unfortunately, I drafted the fat bastard in a few leagues so I've been tracking his progress)

I don't know of any reason for the others, though.

As I said elsewhere, I think the fans of other countries are more energized about it and I think it trickles down to the players. :ohwell:

All right if you vouch for him I'll take him off the hit list. So he's just a fat injury prone pussy, not a communist.
