NAHHA NAHH That story doesn't fly remember how Iowa crushed Mich. 2 years ago but OSU squeeeeeked it out. Iowa still was not in your league blah blah!

No bitterness at all! Win or lose I would rather be a ND fan than a OSU fan!!
Even if ND went 0-11!!
We would also rather you be a Domer fan as well....now why don't you go over to their site if they have one and quit bothering us.

Contract- SOS Jealousy raises it's ugly head
Not quite Chiefy. What has raised its head is the whiny, demanding, self-righteous, holier-than-thou, arrogant ND attitude about scheduling. I highly doubt that scUM added the Miami game last year. They may have added it after the ND game was scheduled, and when was that about 5 or 6 years ago, but if it were added, ND had plenty of time to do the same.

Now it's time for ND to sack up, go and get beat once again by a Big 10 team, and have another mediocre circa 0.500 season. Viva la France!

Yeah, and that same Iowa team lost--at home--to an Iowa State team that finished 7-7 for the year, and got destroyed in the Rose Bowl against a team with two losses. Let me see, how did OSU do that year? Oh yeah, we won all fourteen games including beating the consensus #1 team and defending national champion that was on a 34-game win streak.

half of the country may have thought that usc would have beaten the 2002 bucks, but they didn't deserve the chance with two losses.

half of the country isn't impressive either. all the country outside of ohio state die hards thought miami would roll the buckeyes.

you do have a tough schedule but there is really no excuse for losing to teams like stanford, bc, navy, pitt, and byu. hell if you were still a superpower of college football the only three teams on that schedule that should give you a slight problem are michigan, tennessee, and usc. it is a tough schedule but it isn't impossible by any means. .500 for ty would be an improvement and it will usher in the urban meyer era in 2005.

i do have lots of respect for ND (and not just because ND owns nearly 20% of my employer and all the founders in chicago are ND grads) and i have seen every ND game for at least the past 10 years that didn't conflict with the buckeyes. i don't expect to see more than 5 wins at best. you will be a decided underdog at home against michigan, washington, and purdue. you will be a massive dog on the road at michigan state (even without dick smoker at QB), tennessee, and southern cal. best case scenario is 5 - 6 i would imagine. anything over .500 would be a good season but not good enough to save ty's job without an assist from jesse jackson or johnnie cochran.

Again and half the country thought that USC would have beat OSU! Just like they smoked a Mich. team that beat ya last year.

Do you really want to start that name calling stuff with me??

USC smoke Mich? were you watching the same game i was? the Condoms won by 7 points, which NEVER equals 'smoked,' especially when you factor in Braylon Edwards' dropped TD pass, and that freak INT that was caused by the ball bouncing off some guy's (who wasn't even aware that the ball was coming towards him) foot ...

get a life.

neither.

i am stating that the game was far closer than the Media and USC fans would like people to believe... the Media, in their fanatical desire to perform fellatio on the USC football team, was blind to the actual facts...

1st drive, Braylon catches that pass, it's 6-0 UM... then that kicked ball play... those two plays had an unbelieveable impact on the outcome of the Rose... moreso than any other two plays, IMO... you don't get too many chances to break the game open. UM missed theirs with Braylon's drop, and USC got theirs with the kicked ball... reverse those two plays, and the Final score is quite a bit different... most likely 28-21 UM instead of the other way around...

of course, that's not to say that the Trojans had nothing to do with it... they did put Navarre on his back around 15 times...

CHUMPUSMAXIMUS: Again and half the country thought that USC would have beat OSU!

Who gives a shit what the half the country thought? Over 95% of that same country thought that Miami was going to smoke us worse in the Fiesta Bowl (with "experts" predicting scores of 42-3 and 48-10), and you saw who won. No one, that's no one, was going to beat us that year, and no one did.

You also said Just like they smoked a Mich. team that beat ya last year. Well, that's a different season and subsequently different teams...no comparison. Also, Michigan beat us on their home field...USC beat Michigan on their home field. Let's see USC play a bowl game in The Shoe or The Pig House in January.

As for the "name calling", this ain't Bucknuts. Act stupid and get treated stupid. Act like a member of the board--regardless of fanship--and get treated as such. Just keep in mind that you're still a guest here on an OSU board.

Mili- The previous USC team was BETTER than last years team at years end!!
So if that maked me stupid so be it!! You do not like my opinion on that subject but it it is my opinion and that of many!! And that opinion does not call for your name calling!! You know I will not let it go without retaliation! BTW -Does being a member of this board require agreeing with you all the time?? Didn't think so!

I have been very respectfull of you on this board and you deserved it so let's keep it clean huh? Moderators are supposed to set examples!!!!!!

LV- Did you ever really get the feeling that USC was in any danger in that game?? I sort of felt that if USC needed to score more they could have
.BTW- I have a life..

Back to the original thread- USC asked BYU to change it's game as well so BYU agreed to help both schools.

I agree with your overall assessment of the 2003 Rose Bowl, even though I felt that the game was compromised by the inability of the Michigan offensive line to spring Perry to the outside, to correctly read the safety and corner blitzes, and the predictability of a very stationary Navarre in the pocket.

The tOSU 2002 football team was one that an old football fan like me enjoys watching. Power plays, strong relentless defense and effective counter-punching. They were the stronger team and when you go undefeated, the end result speaks for itself.

ND has been a nemesis of mine for over 40 years, and has ruined many of otherwise sunny and pleasant week-ends for this USC fan, but for the sake of football I hope that they will be able to give us a more competitive game this fall. And again, if they don't, I won't lose any sleep over it.

USCEMPER- LOL! I sure would have thought that you would have picked Tony RIce as the player you would have wanted on your team......

USC has sure gotten some revenge on that 13 in a row streak. 14-14 last year man I thought at that point it was going to be a game! BOY WAS I WRONG!

I love the fact he accuses Michigan of adding Miami, Oh. the the schedule AFTER we scheduled ND.

If that was the case then did the ND Athletic Department really think Michigan would schedule their final non-conference game the week of their bye (Nov. 6)? That would mean that Michigan played every week from September 11th-November 20th. That would be the stupidest move in scheduling history. With ND's strong academic history, I'm sure they weren't dumb enough to assume that.

Now you know how many of us long-time Buckeye fans (me, 35 years) feel about Michigan...
