Head Coach
That call on that walk was horrible. I don't care if the announcers said it was a walk, the UNC player got in his way and was out of control. It should of been an and one and it should of tied up the game. I fuckin' hate these refs in the tourney they won't let the fuckin' kids play. Just like Washington yesterday all their kids had 4 or 5 fouls.

They need to understand they are dealing with the top teams in the country and the quickness is on a equal level and there is going to be contact.

Between the Refs, the shitty ass announcers who don't know how to pronounce name, all the fuckin' coach k commercials, and all the god damn tv. timeouts. The only good thing is that it is on CBS and not Espin. They have to play figure skating all the time.

The refs were horrible in that game...if UNC lost, they would have used the terrible calls on Felton as a reason. There was no reason for him to foul out on those touch fouls
Didnt get to see the whole game b/c Uk was on, but the refs in the whole tourney need to understand that contact is going to happen. Unless the guy is thrown completly off his course or loses the ball b/c of foul it should not be called.

In the Uk game Morris was playing defense behind his man and they called a foul b/c he was was playing defense.

I was really surprised no one from Nova's side was not more irate. What a time to make such a stupid, subjective call! It was not even as close to a travel as the stupid "jump step" McCants uses five times a game where he gets an extra hop on his way to the hoop. I've seen it at least five times this year where it was blatant and ugly, yet uncalled.

A travesty. Let's hope the Big Ten (Wisconsin) rectifies this injustice!

That Nova traveling call was BS, and though I didn't see that game, I can be pretty sure there were several plays that WERE traveling that didn't get called. The refs have been as bad as NBA refs when it come to that. Players are walking and carrying the ball all over the place.

In the UK game, Morris was commiting stupid fouls - touch fouls or not. The refs in that game were babying Bogut too. It's a good thing he couldn't shoot free throws worth a damn. He may be the number one pick in the upcoming draft, but he'll have to work on that flop a little bit to stick around as long as Vlade Divac has.

Gee, someone from the ACC had to be left in the final 8...they are the greatest conference every year, after all :roll1:

Couple that with everyone feeling sorry for Roy Williams that he can't win the big one....

[Off topic rant]Wrong, wrong and wrong. The refs were terrible, because they were inconsistent. But to call traveling when someone took more steps than should be allowed, or to call a foul when there's contact is what the rules are. Basketball has sucked a big fat ass ever since they started letting traveling, palming, and fouling happen without calling it. The NBA and College Basketball would be a lot more fun to watch, if we could actually watch what these athletes can do within the rules of the game.[/Off topic rant]

p.s. UNC sucks.

The Utah-UK game was on, so I didn't get to see much of the UNC game, obviously. That said, I did see the last few minutes and Ray obviously travelled. I don't know what mcCants did or did not get away with, I don't know how stupid the other fouls were. That said, it was clearly a walk-3 steps-and should have been called as it was. Two wrongs in officiating do not equal a right. This is the same logic that Miami fans use when they claim the holding/interference call on Gamble was a make up call for the the horrendous calls the refs missed earlier in the game that benefitted the Canes.

Sometimes I think that the tournament likes upsets early but wants the big match-ups in the elite 8 and beyond. Last night I noticed that Duke didn't get every call. I almost fell out of my chair when MSU got some calls.

UNC is a bunch of punks I hope Wisconsin knocks them out. UNC has the most talent but they are a bunch of individuals. They like to rub it in when they beat 5 seeds:roll2:

I swear there's big money somewhere that buys the refs for UK and UNC... I always wonder who would get the calls if they had to play each other. Other than that, I'm usually not paranoid.

Well that money doesn't buy them for UNC when they play Duke. That's one of the most watched rivalries, and best documented occurences of favoritism (for Duke) there is.

I'll give you McCants in that statement but Raymond Felton is one of the classiest kids I've had the pleasure to meet and compete against...he scorched us three times for 35+ while he was still at Latta HS. I've always heard good things about Sean May also.

Marvin Williams also seems to be a genuinely kind-hearted kid.

The punks of the ACC, since I see them all the time down here, are: Julius Hodge, Chris Paul, McCants (as mentioned above), JJ Reddick's dad, and half the fuckers on UVA.

Here's a great story on UVA's bball team. I was leaving the rec center at UVA this past summer, and the basketball team was leaving right in front of me. Majestic Mapp, a former high school McDonald's AA, who battled 3 major knee surgeries and wasn't invited back for his 6th or 7th year (whatever it was), was working at the reception desk at the rec center. Most of the UVA bball players legitimately made fun of Mapp on their way out because he wasn't on the team anymore and was working at the front desk. Mapp has a master's degree from UVA by this point. What a bunch of overrated, classless jerks. I can't wait for someone to come in and clean up the character of this team. It truly reminded me of many of the Buckeyes players at the end of Cooper's tenure. So much talent, too big of heads, not enough performance or humility.
