I would expect some good news soon here. Quite the coup to pull off the #1 and #2 players in the state of NY. I have to pinch myself when I think back to the days where getting any player from NY/MD/NJ, etc. was a rarity and now it is commonplace.

John Cooper pulled off the feat in 2000, with RB Sammy Maldonado and DE Will Smith, plus OL Shane Olivea might have been #3 in the state. LINK

Meyer is starting to re-establish links in the East Coast, which is nice to see.

The only reason OSU is looking to land number one and number two out of NY is because Meyer isn't interested in #3.
