Observation from the AFC title game

I'm not a fan of either team here, so I can say this entirely sans bias:

Belichick's decision to go for it on 4th down when he had a 42 yard field goal gift wrapped and ready to go, and the ensuing touchdown scoring end around ... juvenile, Mickey Mouse bullshit. The sort of decisions I'd expect from a 13-year-old prick in a game of Madden. Why ice the game with a field goal when you can run up the score, right Bill? Douchebag.

I'm not a fan of either team either, and I COMPLETELY disagree with your statement.

I thought this is the way you play this damn game. You play to WIN the game. Sound familiar.... stolen from ol' herm edwards I think. If they make that yard they run the clock either down or out and coast home. Let's say they kick the field goal and worst case scenario happens - its blocked and returned for a touchdown. Seven point game with what, 4 minutes left or something... NO WAY do I do that. You man up and bust through on fourth down to ice the game. IF you don't get it - at least they have to go 3/4 of the field for a touchdown.

You take no chances in the AFC championship game. You go for the jugular - you put yourself out of harms way. You put yourself up three TD's. Make it impossible for you to lose. I thought it was a great call.

I'm so sick and tired of coaches playing "not to lose" that I want to puke. It wasn't running the score up at all. I'm surprised anybody even thought that. But hey, to each his own.

I didn't think he was tryin to run up the score either, I thought he was tryin to run down the clock. Sending Givens on the reverse, however, does smack of running it up. Why resort to a "trick play" if you're simply running clock? That much, I don't get.

is it wrong to hope for some kind of natural disaster that kills off both these teams during the superbowl? i think the only franchise i hate more than either of these 2 teams in the superbowl is the yankees.

so who do i root for? the team with the most overrated so called "underrated QB" in the game, or the team with the worst fans in the history of sports.....fans who i had to live with for 4 years of my life in college? i would love to see the eagles get shut out from another superbowl, but that means shithead brady would win another MVP and make people suck his dick that much more. and you know brady would win because vinateri shouldve won in their first SB and vrabel shouldve in their second.

I have to say... my initial reaction to that play was pretty similar, but the Steelers were "Still Playing"... and were attacking to stop the run... So what do you do when you don't want to throw? Misdirection time.

If the Steelers didn't like it.. they should have tackled the guy, I guess.
