Ed "LL" Warinner (Run Game Coordinator FAU)

Since Ed is handling TEs now (I think?) and Stud has the O-Line, maybe the best hope is for Stud to get picked up for a HC job or an NFL position/coordinator and get Ed back down on the sidelines with the line with a new OC and QB coach up in the booth for next year.

If he's a "great OL coach" then he probably should spend all of his time doing that because the line has looked anything but "great" lately. :getout:
Hard to do when your job is coaching TE (who can't block or seem to know where to go on the plays sometime) and trying to be an OC.

Odd Hintons TEs could block and catch. Warriners TEs can't block or catch that well.

Ed hasn't coached the line all season, that's Studrawa's like now and has been since the winter(?).

IMO, Id rather see Ed leave to go onto a HC job, and Beck go wherever the hell will hire him. This would allow us to bring in a seasoned OC/QB coach of Meyers choosing to right the ship and groom Studrawa as well.

Studrawa isn't going anywhere. He's Urban's guy and just arrived this year.

I would have preferred Warinner stay at OL, but apparently he didn't want that and brought in Beck to round out the bad decisions.

Coach stud is good but IMO he's not Warriner.

After cooling down I know in my gut that a change needs made. I said it last night this feels like when our defense was just a disaster and we knew teams were going to destroy us due to Withers.

I had a hopeless feeling then and I have it now.

Not Fickell thread but Fick has done one hell of a job calling plays the last few seasons....
Nope, Fickell should be fired too. So many were clamoring for his job too several years ago. The answer isn't always to fire and rehire, not sure why many don't seem to understand that. Coach Stud Isn't going anywhere after 1yr. If Beck were to leave, does Urban honestly go to Warriner and demote him from OC? IDK. If he replaces Beck, I'm sure that hire would expect to be an OC or co-OC, but would they want that with Warriner? All of these are serious questions that can all be detrimental to the offense.

Track record... look what we did on the ground the last 5 years.
Statistically this ground game is about where it was last year...and we don't have Zeke. With a veteran offensive line last year we couldn't block the likes of Hawaii, Northern Illinois, and Western Michigan. We also got abused by Va Tech in 2014 with a slightly older offensive line and Navy the first game. Got abused by Penn State that year too. I'm not seeing a massive difference in Stud and Warriner to be honest. You could honestly make a case for Stud being better considering this is the youngest line we've had since Meyer's been here and the competition we've faced up to this point is far better.

(Not sure if serious about Fick)

Again, I think the best course of action right now is for Urban to start finding Ed a small time HC gig as well as a home for Beck. Then he would be able to bring in an actual QB coach that can also run play callin duties. This would help with the maturation of JT, Joe B, and others. It would also allow the new coach to groom Stud into a future OC.
