Barrett is set in his ways? He’s had 3 diffferent QB coaches and 3 different OCs. Just how do you figure he is set in his ways?

I'm confused.... This post 5 weeks ago vs this post now when the offense has been working better and better and JT is starting to to hit further and further down field?

Could be true, I don’t know. JT certainly did not have a strong game against Oklahoma. But then again, I don’t think the coaching staff did particularly well that game either, nor in the preparation. Meanwhile receivers were very average and run blocking was meek. When that happens, you get beat. Credit to OU for taking all that and beating us.

Are we really that much better now than we were then? We all think and hope so- thankfully we get the 2nd half of the season to see if all of those failed components have gotten their collective shit together. I do think Wilson is getting more comfortable with the tools he has and is starting to put us in the better positions to win each play. But I someone just noted in the Nebraska thread, Nebraska’s defense was so atrocious that even when they were rushing three, their back eight couldn’t get out of their own way to cover our receivers. I’d like to hope that that is a credit to Wilson and staff for getting us in the right positions, but to some degree it’s just complete and total failure by Nebraska.

You look at that OU game and it looked like the old offense we have grown to become frustrated by. Over reliance on the QB run, odd timing of calling pass plays, no flow, ignoring our RBs, got behind the chains, and called plays with no purpose. I don't even really know how to describe it but the past two seasons even when we were winning big something always felt off to me. When we won the past two seasons we won because we were just flat out better and out executed opponents. Like you knew we were going to run JT, run Zeke/Weber, and then motion the H into the backfield and have the RB lead block for him with the occasional comeback route to a WR. That said when we played team on the athletic level as us we reverted back to what we were the past few years and it bit us. We felt disjointed as Kevin said post game against OU because there was too many voices (UFM+Kevin) wanting certain things, and this truly feels now that UFM has given Kevin total control (with suggestions).

God this year you watch this team and its the same formations but you just don't know what we're going to call anymore. Hell we haven't even seen much in regards to handing the ball off to the H on motion this year and that was a staple the past few years. Tight ends have never been more involved, RB's in the throwing game are more involved, and right now we have EIGHT WR's with over 10 receptions. Who do you take away!?

So impressed with his work.

I just hope the offense doesn't turtle up. Last week that LB from Nebraska said the O dictated what they wanted to do. That has to continue. I don't think this team was built on either side of the ball to just sit back. Wilson may have earned his paychecks over the last several games, but against PSU and the rest of the schedule he needs to show why he was hired in the first place. I don't mean that in a he owes us anything. I just think he owes it to the kids playing to turn the O loose on the rest of CFB.

This is about payback. Nobody is going to turtle anything on the Buckeye side of the field. I just so hope that Penn State has a double overtime night game against TSUN and that they get a physical game. Then, I want the Buckeyes to show Franklin who his daddy is.

Turnabout is fair play and, if it happens, I fully expect the little Pedsters to be crying to the world about the unfairness of it all.

I've noticed one tendency that is new. If the tight-end in in the backfield offset to one side we are running behind them.

Normally yeah but you know there's a play action off that coming. What would really work there is if they handed the ball off to the RB on the sweep play and had the TE block for a second on the edge and then run a go route. That'd be an easy 20 yards there
