Kevin Wilson (HC Tulsa)

Shit, Fort Collins is EXACTLY the kinda gig I woulda been holding out for after that bullshit in Bloomington. He has a ton of success in C-Bus then moves on to a gorgeous place, with very low expectations and a high probability of success within that conference.

Sounds absolutely perfect to me.

Re: very low expectations

Basically a winning record and a bowl game. The downside is that Colorado isn't exactly a hotbed of Div 1A talent and Colorado (the state's flagship school) probably gets the best recruits there.

Anyway, he's 58 and he's not getting any younger; it does sound like a good opportunity for him to be a head coach again. There sure a lot worse places to live than Fort Collins too:

Coach Wilson has 'paid his dues' for the incident(s) at Indiana. He's kept his head down, done his job, and more than a small part helped tOSU O to great heights. He deserves another chance, and this could be the right 'fit' for him after his stay in purgatory (hah! as if tOSU is purgatory). Good luck to him, and may he live long and prosper...

Yeah it’s definitely not a state loaded with talent but neither are places like KS, MN, etc and coaches win there. I just think he can easily meet the goal of a bowl game most often and keep people pacified while spending his last years coaching relatively stress free in a gorgeous place. It would be my dream scenario honestly.

I'm not sure there is a head football coaching position above the high school level that is 100% stress free. Some places may be more or less stressful than others; however, with the competitive nature of football coaches (even if the school doesn't put pressure on the coach to win) the coach puts it on himself. The thing is some coaches are just better at handling the stress than other coaches are.
