It's funny. All the undergrads I work with are just salivating at the chance to get the illini into the Breslin center and see if they can mess with their heads. I know I'm looking forward to the game. The 'experts' are saying this will be the last real challenge illinois faces before tourney time.
I hate to say it, but I don't think MSU has the horses to stay in this race. I look for a semi-narrow illinois win. I'll leave room for two ifs, though--IF paul Davis has his A game, and IF the perimeter shooters select their shots better than they have in the past 3-4 games, Sparty could be smiling at the end of the evening.
On an unrelated note, there's a big bitchfest going on over the student section. The kiddies think the rules for the section are too restrictive, and they wish that half the students weren't stuck in the top of the upper deck... can you imagine how hard it would be on opposing teams to DOUBLE the size of the IZZONE? (for those unfamiliar, it's about 15 rows deep courtside, 4/5 of the circumference of the arena)
Anyway. Between this one, and OSU/scUM... I'm in basketball heaven this coming week.
