I don't think any biblical procreation hierarchy is at all necessary. If it's so important that we know about where babies come from, a decent medical text?

If it doesn't change anything and is trivial, then just why in the fuck is it in the most important book the world has ever known in the first place? (I anticipate you won't challenge my calling it the most important book)

To me, there are a lot of more complex topics involving what was actually written in the OT that make for better debate.

Yup it's a bit of a hit and run. I will say that Abram brings up much better debates and more challenging topics in my opinion (compared to wife omissions and location titles).
In any case, if you're not defending literalism, then I'll abandon that for now.

Nope, we agree how important the Bible is :p

Because the Bible likes establishing where people come from, as the whole thing is about one dude. Because that was central to culture back then. The authors of the Bible aren't real wrapped up in who made the dudes for the most part, other than for side lessons or consequences.

Thanks, have fun! Let's hope it's less monsooney than the last one of these, for both of our sakes.
