Also, the top line was a combined -13 in game 1. :lol:

Edit .....and it's 2-0 after a turnover in the offensive end. Top line in the ice for that one, too.

They "blew it' last year by winning too many games at the end of the season and not getting the highest probability for the eventual #1 pick (i.e. Auston Matthews).

Re: The conclusion of the 2016 NHL Draft at First Niagara Center on Saturday signals the start of further evaluation of top prospects eligible for the 2017 draft at United Center in Chicago. Heading that list is Brandon center Nolan Patrick (6-foot-3, 195 pounds), who many project at this stage to be the No. 1 pick next year.

It's looking like a real rough first month of the season with the schedule too.

CBJ ambush Anaheim with 4 in the first and take a 4-0 lead on to the 3rd period.

Assuming they don't CBJ this up, they'll come home with 5 of 8 possible points on a four game West Coast swing where every team they played was a playoff team last year. That's a damned good trip.
