    Thanks for doing all this data work, DBB. It's fun to read and consider.

    Offense -- Week 7

    The offenses we face the rest of the way are all good...

    SO = Scoring Offense
    TO = Total Offense
    DSO = Differential Scoring Offense
    DTO = Differential Total Offense
    RO = Rushing Offense
    DRO = Differential Rushing Offense
    PO = Passing Offense
    DPO = Differential Passing Offense
    • Every team left on the schedule can move the ball and score
    • The 5 teams left on the schedule are the 5 best rushing teams in the Big 10
    • They are 1-5 in rushing TDs in the Big 10
    • What happens vs. MSU will tell us much

    These guys are pretty good. Penn St and Mich aren't bad either.

    TD = Total Defense
    DSD = Differential Scoring Defense
    DTD = Differential Total Defense
    RD = Rushing Defense
    DRD = Differential Rushing Defense
    PD = Passing Defense
    DPD = Differential Passing Defense

    • Numbers in SCARLET and underlined lead the nation
    • Numbers in SCARLET are 2nd in the nation
    • Numbers underlined are 3rd in the nation
    Let's hope these numbers stand up to the gauntlet of rushing offenses that we're facing the rest of the way.

    As a reminder: All of my numbers are calculated AFTER games against lower division opponents have been factored out.

    If by "copyright" you mean "If I find out anyone is using it to make money and is not cutting me in on the profits I will fly to their house and stab them in the knee with a rusty spoon." then, yes, yes I have. :susp:

    The Buckeyes' defensive efficiency is sick, sickety, sick, sick, sick.

    Wow...the gap between us and everyone is huge.

    Another wow...our defensive efficiency is nearly twice as good as anyone else.

    Since it seems like RD is our bread and butter of the defense, I would say that we have a pretty good shot.

    in all fairness, LSU's D took a huge hit efficiency-wise due to the three OT's setting Kentucky up on the 25 yard line... though if LSU had stopped them in regulation, they wouldn't have to worry about that...

    We will truly have a better idea of where we stand after playing at State Penn. They are very tough at home and I don't expect a lot of scoring in the game.

    Taos has officially laid his hands on the game in Happy Valley - we can now rest easy and look forward to the Buckeyes blowing them out early. :wink2:

    You are correct. Apparently, this year they can't win anywhere else but home. (5-0 at home, 0-2 away)

    Ha! I wish! :tongue2:
    I've been looking at home and away trends and I don't like what I see.
