I guess he saw the "writing on the wall", he just didn't fell he would crack the 2 deep in 2022 with Harrison, Tuimoloau, Sawyer, Jean-Baptiste, and Hamilton, etc. ahead of him. In addition, with Tuimoloau and Sawyer being true Freshmen this year; he probably wouldn't be a starter in 2023 either.
