Ross has already visited Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Akron, and has watched multiple games at tOSU. He is wide open and says tOSU is still deciding what to do about a kicker in the 2011 class.

To those who are more in-the-know: how important is a video like has been posted? I noticed the wind blowing strongly at his back on the FG attempts. I assume game film would be more telling for the distance he wants to demonstate (50-60 yds) but he may not have had the attempts?

(Note : no intent to bash).

I am no expert on kicking, but a good friend of mine is a high school kicker and the first thing I noticed was that Ross gets excellent height on all of his field goals. Even on the 50 plus kicks, the height was there. A very impressive video.

martin is a great kicker - have seen him at camps with no wind, no fg block, etc. and he hits it great. His clips on the kicking websites (e.g., Kohl's) are better than this video, which is odd because (i) wind, (ii) kicking fg using a block, and (iii) kickoffs from 40. Just for reference, Basil's HS film looks very similar.

Looks like this young man has the tools to be a good to great College kicker.

The film is helpful but would Coaches will want to see game condition kicks too.

Definitely worth a look and perhaps an offer.
