Too bad we don't have any good LB coaches. I mean, we never get any LBs drafted...

well the ledger would now seem to stand at Gary and the Paramus pipeline on the plus side for them with the rest of NJ and other recruits Partridge alienates in the negative side.

I'm sure Gary is going to be a stud for them for 3 years but it seems like the calculus of hiring a full time to coach to land one recruit could end up costing more than it gains but who could have seen that coming?

I just find it comical to hire a HS coach to get/attract recruits. If it was totally based on that coach's merits it would be a different story. But even Stevie Wonder can see right through what's going on up there. scUM fans call it smart. I call it desperation. They truthfully don't need to hire every school's coach to get a recruit up there. I'm anxious to see who else High School Coach University hires.

Wel, in all fairness, he brought in 2 recruits, as I think he was also brought in to secure Peppers...

It's worth it for Gary. It was not worth it for most of the others and almost all of them were mentors or coaches for one or more top 100 recruits.

Meanwhile he continues to stockpile very mediocre seat fillers every year and replaces them in the fall and winter. There's no moral high ground here as meyer has backed away from kids, I'm just confused why a great brand like Michigan (and separately harbaugh) resorts to such lower tier methods.

He brought in many recruits, not including peppers. Gary, Walker, Mitchell and others. Only one looks like he'll last.

Peppers committed to Brady freaking Hoke two years before partridge was given a career path in exchange for securing Gary.

That would suggest that sugar daddies aren't a necessity to win recruiting battles for elite new Jersey recruits.

One word: desperation!
scUM at this point is literally so desperate to have a coach(and more specifically a coach with a big name with scUM roots) with some type of relevance to be able to compete with tOSU and MSU. It's become obvious that over the years, scUM has fallen back significantly in the national CFB landscape and has even become close to being a laughingstock for a while, and now Harbrau and staff has used "interesting" methods to gain relevance, and has fooled a number of national analysts into thinking that they're as good as they think. But because CFB as a whole is so shady, more hasn't been mentioned of Harbrau and staff's recruiting tactics, as they pale in comparison to other schools. scUM is trying for anything to be mentioned among the CFB elite again, even if that means hiring every HS coach known in order to appear relevant

No Ohio State contact yet with recent Michigan decommitment
Antwuan Johnson, a four-star linebacker from Dayton (Ohio) Dunbar decommitted from Michigan just about two weeks ago, but he the 2018 prospect has not heard from Ohio State since reopening his recruitment.

“Ohio State has not been in contact,” Johnson told Landof10. “I’ve been hearing the most from Pitt, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan State, Penn State, Rutgers, Iowa and Tennessee.”
