OL Tegra Tshabola (Official Thread)

It seems like he makes football 10 vs 10, which I'm not sure but I think is what you want out of your LT. Whichever poor soul he locks onto is completely taken out of the play, and he makes sure of it. The very first one had me laugh out loud, he just pushed him down. But if you can trust him to take his opponent out of the play altogether, then he is never going to come off the field.

The name on the back of his jersey should be ‘AnStayDown.’

Can we say the recruiting wall around Ohio constructed by Jim Tressel has now been extended to Cincinnati?

It certainly has. JT was the man, but his recruiting of Cincy was pretty terrible. Urban was a critical factor in turning that around but Coombs has also been a major factor in getting 513 recruits locked down.

I agree. For whatever reason, JT's Achilles heel was recruiting Cincy. Meyer certainly improved on it (hey, he graduated from UC), but Day and Co. have taken it to 11.

Scoop On The Road: Tegra Tshabola Interview

One of our stops was to Lakota West High School where we interviewed 2022 Ohio State offensive tackle commit Tegra Tshabola. He was the second member of Ohio State's already talented 2022 class. Last week the OHSAA allowed high schools to begin their summer workouts in preparation for the upcoming fall sports seasons. And Lakota West with Tshabola was one of the first football programs to get back in the weight room. Ohio State landed a future stud offensive tackle from the Cincinnati area in 2020 with Paris Johnson Jr. and if all goes well Tshabola could follow in Johnson’s footsteps of being a Cincinnati high school football standout to eventually becoming a Buckeye star.

In our interview with Tshabola, we discussed being back in the weight room, maintaining weight during quarantine, and how he is trying to slim down now. Along with committing during the quarantine, his efforts to recruit other targets, who he's talking to, and his relationship with the other two commitments in Ohio State’s 2022 class Jyaire Brown and C.J. Hicks.
