2020 OH RB JuTahn McClain (Kentucky Verbal)

Agree with pnuts34. Kid has talent, undoubtedly. However, if one reads tOSU boards (specifically this one), one would come to believe that tOSU has probably one, maybe two 5* RBs all but locked up. Soooo, the question becomes, do I want to play and showcase my skills, or do I want to take a chance and maybe ride the pine. Not being in his shoes, I cannot say whether tOSU recruiter was slow-playing him, or not. Offer comittable or COMITTABLE? And maybe he doesn't really want to be a 'fallback' option. He might not ever be in a position to dictate terms, bathe in the glory, etc, so why not go where he will be wanted. Heck, as soon as he reports to campus, he's nothing more than a freshman player, and all that supposed glory goes away anyway......PS, he could always flip back to the Buckeyes :)

thought it would be Sparty or PSU. UK continues to land Ohio kids that the 2nd tier of the B1G can’t miss on if the league as a whole is going to elevate.
UK is recruiting at a better rate than both, and I'm sure the depth chart may be a little more favorable. Sparty seems like they barely try in recruting anymore and Ped St still swings for the fences with higher rated RBs. And UK seems to find ways to get kids from Dayton and and cincy who are plan b and c types for OSU. McClain wasnt going to be a Buckeye(Cooper, Wren and Drennen all ahead of him).
