The Teague commitment was the writing on the wall here...we are not taking 3 RB's in this class unless it would be Zamir White (already coming close with Snead, Teague and Gill as a hybrid). Thomas is certainly an intriguing prospect though, I wish him the best of luck and look forward to seeing how he translates to the next level.

Well, that was quick between making a Top 7 list and committing. 11W also made mention in their Hurry Up today that he hasn't visited OU's campus yet. Straaange recruitment.

Good luck to Tavion in Norman!

I think the main writing on the wall, was OSU passing up on him a while ago because his grades weren't in order(to name a fee other issues with Dayton Public schools). If he has to worry about his grades in HS, it'll be even more of a problem in a college with much more distractions

Some Oklahoma folks never really counted him as a part of their class because they assumed he would be a non-qualifier. Other still had him penciled in on the defensive side of the ball. OSU obviously sees him as a running back and they think he either will pass the clearinghouse or they may establish a path for him to OSU ala Cardale Jones.

Do we know if he chose to walk away from Oklahoma because he wanted to? Or because he needed to due to the academic route? Or did Oklahoma possibly see the handwriting and encourage him to look at other options? Timing seems to point to a more mutual decision than his tweet would make it sound. Also, if he does do the Cardale Jones style path to OSU would that just reclassify him to the 2019 class for all fundament purposes?

If he goes the cardale jones route it was probably mutual. If he makes it in this class I'd say it was more likely his choice
