BG $ - Scates emerging as top recruit

Hearing mostly from Purdue, Louisville & Kent State but also looking to hear from Alabama, tOSU & Kentucky. Grew up an Alabama fan though he mentions he is close with Braxton Miller, who he used to watch at Wayne HS.
 

His recruitment has exploded and Scates holds offers from the likes of Cincinnati, Indiana, Iowa State, Pittsburgh, Toledo and Vanderbilt. He is also hearing from several top schools.

"My strength is my ability to use my speed and quickness to run by defenders," Scates stated. "I can also get in and out of my breaks quickly, get to my route, and catch the football."

"My favorite school is Alabama, and I've visited Ohio State, Cincinnati, Louisville and Kentucky," he added. "Schools that I think are close to offering me would be Louisville, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Ohio State."

"I want to make my decision at the end of this season or the beginning of my senior season," he continued.
