Like I said, you’re absolutely free to believe what you choose to. Just to wrap this up, I want you to read the following-with quotes from Lorenzo himself-and focus on the wording.

Those were not direct quotes from the kid. That's speculation on 11 Warriors part. I guess Hartline is recruiting him because he is the area recruiter for Central Ohio right?

The problem is he sees the depth chart. He has a hell of alot better chance of starting earlier at ND.

It's a damn shame. Kid can impact all three phases of the game. ND is gonna get one hell of a player when he commits after his visit.

Oh well.

One big mistake, huh? Are we going to be thin at WR? What am I missing? I’m under the impression that is going to be the most talented room on the team. Why do we NEED Styles at WR?

Kid can play all 3 phases of the game. You better believe it's a Gamble. It's not just WR. Kid could be a lethal punt returner. Just like the people that tried telling me Cameron Martinez was a mistake offer. Same kind of player. Can play all three phases. Kids with that versatility are rare.

Gotcha...similar to, say, Julian Fleming, or Cam Martinez? or Mookie Cooper? Or perhaps Gee Scott? Who knows, maybe Jaxon Smith-Njigba is versatile. Garrett Wilson looks fairly versatile.

I’m sorry, I just don’t see how not offering one kid at the position that absolutely least need him is a mistake. It’s not. It’s just not!

1. Neither of those are from 11W

2. There’s literally quotes from the kid.

3. Brian Hartline was his initial recruiter. Before Ekbuka, Harrison, Collins or Stellato were even offered. Before they landed Fleming, Smith-Njigba, Scott, Cooper or Martinez. You’re not just going to move him off the coach he has the best/longest relationship with. Again, you’re confusing them straight up telling him he can’t be a WR with being honest on how they project him.

4. I’m still not entirely sure who you’re arguing with or what it is exactly you’re arguing. It sounds like everyone, including the staff, is in agreement that he’s a guy who can have an impact at multiple positions and not just WR.

There’s telling a kid “no, you won’t be a WR here” and there’s telling a kid “we think you’re best suited as a DB, if you’re wanting to be a WR maybe we can see what happens”.

At the same time you have Notre Dame telling him he’s one of their top priorities at WR.

Does he like Notre Dame? Of course he does. However, he’s also being told what he wants to hear from the Notre Dame staff much more directly than from the Ohio State staff. That’s playing a big role here.

I really doesn't matter. He better get ready to get throttled by the Buckeyes in 22 and 23. Honestly the WR depth chart at OSU and ND are very different. Hell the DB depth chart is scary. Either way the kid went the path of least resistance.

I'll tell you what though. That Terry McLaurin guy is doing pretty well in the NFL. Who got him schooled up? It wasn't ZS it was Hartline.

To be honest Wilson,Williams,Scott,Fleming,Ballard,Cooper, and Njimba are the reason he picked ND. I could even argue Cameron Martinez is a better slot. I wanted him because he could impact all 3 phases. Oh well. I hope he like getting pounded in big games because that is what ND does. He will not win a Conference or NC. He could have been coached by the best.

I'll fall out of my chair laughing if he plays CB for ND.

Wanted to land Styles, but the WR position is the least of my recruiting concerns in the near future. There are a number of guys I tell the staff had higher or at the same priority (Collins, Stellato, etc). Best of luck to him at ND.
