Ohio State fans answered Urban Meyer's call in a big way.

A few days ago, Urban Meyer called for 100,000 fans to come to Ohio State's spring game this afternoon, a figure that would smash attendance records for a practice. Now, thanks to some great weather in Columbus, some real intrigue around position battles, and some good old fashioned Buckeye fan passion, it seems clear that the Buckeyes are going to get there. The university announced today that Ohio Stadium will be "at capacity" for the Spring Game.

Ohio Stadium's capacity, by the way, is 104,944 people. There might not be quite that many folks in the stands for the game today, as the school is letting anybody with a BuckID in for free and probably needs to make sure there will be enough room, but it seems clear that Ohio State will hit that 100,000 person benchmark for the game.

That's truly an amazing number, when you remember that the spring game is actually a dang practice that doesn't actually count.

It should be an electric atmosphere at The Show today, which is great for the players, great for the number of big name recruits who will be in attendance, and great for the program.
