Yeah, and we should've been able to do that against the nation's worst defense last night but didn't.

I think it will help us to get a "good enough but no where near great" performance from the offense last night.

Still plenty of coaching up to be done and the kids knowing it is neccessary. Minny was a team we could beat with a somewhat off night offensively. Now hopefully that opens the door for a crisper performance vs a Purdue team for which, we will probably need it.

31-19 Bucks...

I think Purdue will initially be fired up, and that offense can give us big time problems with the short passes. Once they get into the redzone though It'll be a different story. I think they get 4 field goals and a TD (late). I think it'll be 31-12 bucks with about 2 minutes to play.

The thing that was a big surprise watching the ND/Purdue game was that ND was able to really do a number on Purdue's Run game. So It really depends for me how our defense plays their pass. Do we press or do we play a zone and not get beat deep? If we pressed and blitzed them I'd like us 31-6 but if we play zone (and you know we will) I think it'll look rather close to the rest of the country.

I doubt we get Saine back, but man do we miss him or what? Not to knock on Mo Wells but he just can't break tackles very well. I would feel much better with a running back other than Mo when we have to get Beanie a rest. When Beanie runs though, it just seems like the push the drive from the line is better. Beanie's going to be crucial in this game this week, but more importantly Todd Boeckman's decision making is going to be even more important. If he can go 17-25 for 200 and NO PICKS then we'll be just fine I think.

I would expect to see a lot of nickel/zone this week -- eliminate the run and keep everything else in front. Purdue will move the ball. The key is to give up 3 and not 7.

does anybody know what the coverage map looks like?? I live in florida, and if i get the ucla/notre dame game, i am gonna be very pissed, and gonna send abc a not so friendly letter.

You have 2 ranked teams going at it.....and i might get the game where neither team is ranked, and one of them hasen't won a game yet. Why would most people care about watching that game.

yep, i just looked at the channel guide for next saturday, and i get the ucla/notre dame game. Freaking Ridiculous.

yep me too, except I live in California so I was expecting it.

but.......... there is NO REASON 0-5 Notre Dame Vs UCLA should be an ABC Primetime game, especially while 2 5-0 teams are playing

That's a bit of a stretch.

I'm hoping it's a huge stretch. I've never wanted to be more wrong. But most outside of Ohio are reporting Ntre Ame/UCLA are already in their guides. I'm hoping someone with half a brain at ABC wakes up and changes this, but I'm not holding my breath. :wink2:

For some reason I think Joe Tiller still has some things to prove as far as OhioState is concerned. 2002 will always be in the back of his mind. 2004 OHioState started to come on and Purdue knew they were in for a ball game in that one. This game in 2007 is still a mystery for Purdue and its going to take a perfect game for the Boilermakers to win this one.

I think our defense is playing with severe mental toughness at this time of the season. Maybe we are a much better team away from the "Shoe" and maybe Tressel likes it that way especially with our "Special teams" game plan.

This years Buckeyes seems to be better and better on defense as each game goes. And that can put the offense into a much more focused state of mind. Who can ever forget Craig Krenzel and what he did in 2002 against Purdue. I hope Todd Boeckman can reach a plateau of that nature next saturday night.

are we talking about online TV guides? those are always wrong.

at least, I hope so, cuz I just checked and saw NA vs UCLA.
