You would be correct. One of the Husky fans was saying exactly that at the tailgate (that Husky Stadium was the only stadium in the country to run east-west rather than north-south). Attached is the stadium diagram to prove it:
I guess Ken-Yon Rambo should have gone to Washington. He was a brilliant east-west return man. :tongue2:

Forgot to mention that I also got to meet sears3820 the day before the game, at a Michigan sports bar no less. We watched the Red Sox/Yankees game, and while he was significantly outnumbered by Yankee fans he more than held his own.

By the way, that sports bar ("Rocksport" in SW Seattle) has a killer prime rib for $9.95 on Fridays, if you're ever visiting Seattle...some of the best prime rib I've had anywhere.

Kentucky isn't D1AA......they're a good D1A team, and have a first rounder playing QB for them
Say what? I don't know enough about him, but I don't think he's a first rounder.. maybe 2nd, more likely 3rd, IMO. based on what I saw.

Alot of under thrown balls.. plus Louisville D sucks ass.

I thought the crowd was pretty loud at times but that long drawn out siren thing they did has gotta go
The television camera visibly shook on many occasions when the OSU offense was in pre-snap. That gave the definite impression that the stadium was rockin', figuratively and literally. And I was pleased to see a relatively young Buckeye squad deal with that kind of environment pretty well.

So, how'd you like my nuts?

I wanted to ask you and Manfred (and BB73 if he's reading this) if it's OK to post our "O-H-I-O" photo. Oh yeah, the "O-H-H-O" photo, too... :slappy:

Well, I left your nuts in Washington. Didn't get to try them! :p

You can post the pic, although Manfred will be embarrassed as hell. He was pretty tanked.

I can only think of one other, Harry Baujhan (bo - jon) Field (I'm not making that up, folks), Home of the University of Dayton Flyers ran east - west until they moved their games off campus to Perc Welcome Stadium some time in the 70s or 80s. Anybody else know of an east - west field?

We watched the Yankees/Red Sox at Sport Restaurant, which is where the OSU alums meet. (There was one lone Yankees fan, tons of Red Sox fans, and a ton of Buckeyes as well.) Really nice place, and the food is awesome. I had a Dungeness crab sandwich and tried a Kobe beef slider. I'd like to move that bar to Boston!

Whether you think his projections suck or not, Todd McShay of Scouts Inc currently has him and Brian Brohm listed 1A and 1B for quarterbacks in the draft

Personally, I don't think hes that great either, but in a weak QB draft thats where he's currently listed from ESPN and Scouts lead draft analyst

But my point was, its not nearly the upset that App ST and Michigan was, especially when Kentucky has a potential first round QB under center

Woodson plays for freaking Kentucky, how can anyone expect him to have been getting good coaching? all you need to see from him is that last TD throw to know he has the physical skills. he might not come into the league and start his first year, but he definitely has the arm... then again Jay Cutler came from Vandy, and was starting his rookie season, so you never know...

Rich Brooks, the coach at Kentucky has a good bit of NFL experience and said he's legit.

Now I know it's his head coach but the guy's been around a ton of good players.

Some 2006 numbers on Andre Woodson:

26/37, 210 yards, 1TD @ Florida in 26-7 loss.
23/32, 204 yards, 2TD v Georgia in 24-20 win.
26/39, 282 yards, 1TD @ Tennessee in 17-12 loss.
20/28, 299 yards, 3TD v Clemson in 28-20 bowl win.

Kentucky has won 8 of their last 9 since Woodson turned the corner in his development. They've beaten Georgia, Clemson and now Louisville in 7 of their last 8, and played Florida and Tennessee pretty well on the road (UK losing to UF by only 19 at the Swamp is an achievement).

Woodson now has 257 pass attempts without an interception. 14 short of Trent Dilfer's NCAA record.

Kentucky is still Kentucky in the grand scheme of things, but Woodson appears to be the real deal.
