HV is as tough a roadie at night as anywhere in the country, no doubt about it BUT you have to have the team to back it up. There is a big difference in the caliber of the 2 teams this year that wasn't there in '05.

I think we learned this lesson at Washington. Remember how we were hearing the stories of them upsetting Miami and Michigan at home in recent years because of their noise? It turns out the crowd can only help you so much, then the team has to use their talent to win...and in which case Washington just couldn't.

One thing noone has mentioned on here is that no matter how bad they have looked, no matter who is out, how badly they look outmatched they have only lost once at home in the last 21 games.......to scUm after all 3 qbs got knocked out....and they only lost by 7.

Scary

I think we learned this lesson 2 years ago at State Penn.

Maybe I'm obtuse, but I don't share your fear in the slightest. I think the game at HV is going to be a clinic sponsored by Tressel and Co.

The one thought that keeps coming back to me about this football team of 2007 is the fact that our defense is what we all expected it to be as the season started but now "IT" has gained considerable amounts of confidence in themselves and have not wavered from game one to the present. In fact "IT" is way ahead of the offense and waiting for them to catch up.

I have no Idea when that will happen and maybe thats a good sign because the offense is still searching down deep to come up with a solid game plan, one that will convince themselves that they are on par with the defense.

AS anything else in life we all know that when we are good at something we have a tendency to take a few things for granted and we lighten up abit. I hope for Tressells sake, he knows that his offense has along way to go before it can really establish themselves. This week at Penn State before a real hostile envirionment the offense will be put to its stiffest test of the season. If TB and his O/L can look back and learn from all there mistakes in the past games then we will have a good chance of coming home with a Victory. Everybody i have talked with here in Florida has said to me that "Your Buckeyes are way over-rated again" It seems i heard that alot in the year of 2002 and look what happened. Lets hope the "Buck" can take one game at a time and then we can stand "Tall" in the end. How many of you guys remembered the the game we played as kids called "King of the Hill"
It was a tough game to stay at the top. It was a great feeling then.

There are 3 impressive wins in that 20* game span (which oddly enough begins during their 4-7 year of 2004.....in which they went 3-3 at home).

Yawn.

* It's 1 loss in 20 games, btw.

Shades of Glendale

We are so good. We are number one. Penn State Sucks.

well.. it's fun for us to talk that way but you can bet Tressel is having none of it.

I'd like to see them go back to the Todd Boeckman Punt. That is, how far can yout hrow it, Todd?? Better to have it picked 60 yards down field than to punt it 40 yards.

With our D, a la 2002, it's all about field position.

What did Gamble do against the Nits, was it a punt return for a TD or an int. return??

I'll stick with my 34-6. It all comes apart for Road Rage Joe Pa. Let's finish
him and Llllloyd off in the same year. Ouch -- hope the Nits aren't looking at this!!

Beanie, Saine, Boeckman, Sanzenbacher plus Robo and Hartline? We have a lot of tools. Let's use 'em all!!

fuck....they get gameday.

but... but... I thought that Big Ten sucked this year, why in the hell would gameday want to be at a game between two mediocre Big Ten schools?? Both teams are Big Ten slow, it will be so boring to watch, I bet there won't even be any pass plays, I don't understand the logic.

on that note, won't it be fun after the game when no matter what happens, the Big Ten sucks

Ohio State wins big: Big Ten sucks because there is no depth
Ohio State wins close: Big Ten sucks because the best teams isn't that good

and there are a few other outcomes... but you get the idea

The team we're playing Saturday isn't even close, talent-wise, to the team that beat us two years ago.

The closer this game gets, the less worried I get.

Stadiums and time of day don't win games, teams do.
