Game Thread Ohio State 38, Toledo 0 (Sep 19, Browns Stadium)

BB73 and I just got back in town from the game. What a great day and game. We did the tailgate thing and then had great seats on the 40 yard line.
The Bucks moved the ball very well in the first half and scored on three of four possessions to start.
We can stand to throw the ball to Sans more, all he does is get open.
We shut down UT just as i thought we could do grading against how we did against SC.
JT played a lot of newer players, too many to mention here.
Good game, We enjoyed it.

Did I say he played in those games?????? I think he is [censored]ed because he believes Cooper ran up the score on his old school....

It appeared that you did as you responded to a post asking if Ohio State did something while he played at Pitt.

My apologies if I misread your response. :)

The only thing I would find fault with is that TP was so confident the defense would bail him out he got too wild with his throws. But I seem to remember Troy doing the same thing. So in total we made progress today.

Just watching the rest of the teams across the nation and the big boys.

I truly do believe once the offense gets it going - we will be one of the best, if not the best team in the land. I have that much confidence in our athletes.

I very seriously doubt that thought ever crossed TP's mind when he threw those picks.

This one made me smile.:wink2:

owen Wrote: Timid Offensive gameplan contributed mightily for the resounding and upsetting blowout and I think it is because our HC was on the staff at OSU. Of course execution was weak of that lousy gameplan anyway.

OU was leading the Bucks into the 4th quarter, BGSU has twice come close, Marshall was a field goal away. All these teams can come close but University of Toledo has yet to score! That really [censored]es me off.

I agree with you Owen in regard to Beckman being on the tOSU staff. Did he not want to open things up in fear of getting on the wrong side of his buddy Tressle? There was too much feel good BS leading up to the this game in regard to Beckman and his relationship to Tressle.

Why did we not even try to run the ball in the 1st half? Was Beckman doing Tressle a favor by running a watered down spread, so tOSU could be ready for Illinois? We were playing like we were down huge from the start. I don't care if we only got a yard on a rushing attempt. Give it a shot. If nothing else, we would have ran some clock. Instead, we'd run two quick slants and then throw it up for grabs long. We didn't move the chains, didn't run any clock and ended up giving tOSU a short field numerous times. I'm still [censored]ed about the playcalling. Did we fire the guy who called last weeks game? Did he take the week off after such a good performance against CU?
