Re: I can help you MidvaleReplyIt is a tall order, but OSU's offense is no better than ours. Yes, their defense is everything you say, but seeing how our kickers have performed to date I suspect special teams can make the difference in NU's favor. Look for at least two defensive scores (OSU's offense is still learning how to hold onto the ball and their QB has proven he is not horribly accurate when he throws. I still say NU by a field goal. (And it would be poetic justice if our final play follows a time burning drive in which CJ takes a knee.)

Here's a suggestion or twoReply I don't know what YOU eat when drinking beer, but instead of chips or pretzels or like that, wait until the Buckeyes have the ball and then eat a turnover... apple turnover, cherry turnover, prune turnover, apricot turnover, and so forth. Power of suggestion.

If that doesn't work out so well in the first half, get yourself over to the Brat Stop during halftime. Change of venue = change of fortunes.

The other thing to keep repeating, as a mantra, is "we NEVER go into The Shoe as the favorite and come out with a W", but we HAVE gone in as a road dog and won." Someone might dispute that, perhaps, but even so don't let the facts get in the way of the principle.

My question is, what's a road dog? The wrestler?

S. J. Carrera, Inc.
Northwestern linebacker Adam Kadela of Dublin Coffman is fourth in the Big Ten in tackles.

He was smart enough to figure it out on his own. Adam Kadela already has one degree from Northwestern, after all, and plans to add a master's by next spring.
Watching his older brother's career the past few years, though, only reinforced in Kadela's mind the importance of preparing himself for a future beyond football.
Dave Kadela, who blocked for Michael Vick at Virginia Tech, bounced among three NFL teams for six years, playing in two games. He retired this year when Carolina, with whom he had been since 2004, didn't offer him a contract to return. He's now getting ready for graduate school and the rest of his life.

OSU enters 500th game in Ohio Stadium

Thursday, September 20, 2007 3:32 AM
By Ken Gordon

The Columbus Dispatch

One week after Ohio State coach Jim Tressel celebrated a milestone, his team will experience another.
The game Saturday against Northwestern marks the 500th in Ohio Stadium, nearly 85 years after it opened in October 1922.
Last week, OSU beat Washington, giving Tressel his 200th career victory.
"Any time you can be part of history, it's definitely an honor," linebacker James Laurinaitis said. "Just to be part of that, it's something that when you grow up you can tell your kids someday, 'Hey, I was on coach Tressel's team when he got his 200th win,' or, 'I was in the 'Shoe in the 500th game.'

LOL reminds me of when I had to travel to Michigan International Speedway for the place I worked for... We had to basically maintain the golf carts that were there and EVERY day I was there... A different Ohio State T-shirt! The last day I was there I wore my tshirt that said on the front "Only one team can win" and on the back it said "and we did AGAIN 25-21!!" ahhh It was perfect!

That is great. Everytime I go into Meatchicken I try to wear something with at least the colors if not the logo.

So I was talking with the wife last night and found out that we have a wedding to go to. Who in there right mind would schedule a wedding at freakin 3:30.
I am so freakin pissed:pissed:, I told her that I will be late to the reception. It is her cousins wedding.

Both CFB Data Warehouse and the Collegio Software DB list the record at 57-14-1!?

This Page at Stassen shows the individual result of all 57 wins, all 14 losses, and the scoreless tie in 1938. Where o-zone got their data is anybody's guess.
